I think the key will be so they don't blend in with the profile pic would be the outline color and thickness, maybe a double outline of white and black, so an outline shows up with either mode? Or a back shadow for a 3-d effect

Is actually a bit disappointing that not many anime followers here aren't following current seasons. Most of the articles reference some old ass anime from 10 or 20 years ago. As opposed to the people reacting and recommending current shows on TV. The anime group is not up to date, or when it is, isn't as knowledgeable of all the shows going on. Is a bit like hivemind where everyone only watch the same shows. So very little discovery happens.
It's crazy that mainstream social media platforms now offer creator monetization... yet it's still very difficult for most people to earn meaningful income there. Building an audience takes time everywhere, but consistency and patience still matter the most.

Same opinion as @oldmans but I would also add that it can be set by default towards what is the default rewards... and while rewards are paid in HP (or HIVE) have this default to that... and when they move into HBD, show in $ instead. But options are always great.
I would rather have an option to disable or enable certain notifications, what if I just want notifications of more important things like a comment or a mention, often upvote notifications become spam as they too many and take away for more important things
Would be much fun to see in the native currency which is hive.

Any web2... to be honest... facebook, instagram, linkedin, X, whatever... mostly depends on where people already have their own established network. That's where it mostly works best in my view.

I am thinking if that page gets also shared, then it has more impact for the overall website. And people usually want to see the impact of things...

The hard part is automatically getting the viewcount from the web2 platforms, not the hive part.
Just had a check, and it looks like the APIs cost money in most cases. You can get these on X but for each call is $0.005
So, unless these would get cached on a per "day basis" it would probably cost a lot of money to leave the individual user browsing trigger the calls.

I know that has no rewards in most places... but if people like me sees those things outside Hive, I know you are helping... and I might like that a LOT (I usually like it a lot, but depends on how you put it out there... for me to chase you for some support). Tag me, as much as you want... I don't bother about too much notifications, because I know how to filter.

I arrived and stayed at Hive to avoid conventional social networks. I prefer to dedicate my time to supporting users who are inside the ecosystem. But your call to action is good, I hope you find users that feel comfortable in web2.
Its a big mix, but I understand the motivation for the reasons you mention. Most of the web2 people are actually what I call, milkers... its very hard to get real genuine people on web2... but they exist. And finding them, is why I am still there.
