  • What specific platforms do you have in mind?

you have the choice to help...

So far, I "help" by upvoting a few comments on Snapie most days (and now here) until I run out of juice.

Cheers!

Any web2... to be honest... facebook, instagram, linkedin, X, whatever... mostly depends on where people already have their own established network. That's where it mostly works best in my view.

You are doing great... this is me being a bit fiesty... :D

Ah, got it. In my case, that would be Youtube. I have posted some content about Hive on Youtube before, but the onboarding issue has caused me to hesitate...

Exactly... that too. I am on Youtube with the same handle so happy to be tagged there too.

you could also show your shares here for some rewards in exchange for having gone out and done so!

Nice, I keep forgetting we have that. Do you have some sort of a counter of views through that page? or clicks... could be a great addition to the page. I am thinking if that page gets also shared, then it has more impact for the overall website. And people usually want to see the impact of things...

it's hard to do that without API's, we encourage users to share images however since most analytics are often only available to the person alone.

Humm... I see. Would need an HAF app and all apps to use it and record stats on chain. Not sure if I have the balls to embark on such direction yet. One day... meanwhile, if anyone sees this comment, don't feel bad about it if you want to develop yourself. Go for it! :D

The hard part is automatically getting the viewcount from the web2 platforms, not the hive part.

Just had a check, and it looks like the APIs cost money in most cases. You can get these on X but for each call is $0.005

So, unless these would get cached on a per "day basis" it would probably cost a lot of money to leave the individual user browsing trigger the calls.
