Amazing Things Can Happen...
I have to laugh at myself...
About two weeks ago or so, I decided to take a 'break' from Twitter....Errrr excuse me, X. Now I hadn't been posting on my account for years but I still browsed and spent the bulk of my time on social media...On that platform.
It was where I got most, if not all of my news. Plus, it's how I kept up to date with the sports teams I follow, and influencers that I enjoyed consuming content from. Overall, X has been my go to platform basically since it launched over a decade ago.
But recently.....It's become a cesspool. And that's putting it lightly. It's almost like these social media platforms are designed to do one thing, and one thing only...Get us arguing with each other.
It's really upset me because of how much I loved X. That platform was my go to for years and to see it become the worst side of humanity, really sucks.
So I pretty much logged out of my account and haven't been back since...
So here's the positives about my decision so far...
I've been able to spend a LOT more time here on the blockchain. With all the amazing apps and games that have been developed, this is a much better investment of my time.
No stress! I rarely if ever got into 'debates' online especially on X. But without the constant attack of negative news on my feed, I've had a breath of fresh air.
But here's the negative, and it's why I ended up laughing at myself recently.
Because X was my go to source for world news, I had no idea....NASA launched a bunch of people towards the moon LOL Seriously, I literally had no idea until people started sharing the rocket taking off yesterday. And yeah, I get it...Conspiracy theories are abound, but whatever you wanna believe when it comes to that...I think it's pretty cool whenever things like this happen.
So yeah....I missed out on the drama of the world, the wars, the inflation, the crypto bros....
But I also missed out on the 'good news' that can pop up every now and again on these platforms. I know there has been attempts to get news feeds on the blockchain, and I still think that would be an awesome idea. However without the traction of a large audience, I don't know if that's a reality anytime soon here.
One can wish :)
Going forward, I doubt I'll be heading back to X anytime soon. I will never say never, but I did like my peace of mind. And as many of you know, I've VERY big on my spiritual walk as well. That is what I want to take up the bulk of my attention and focus....
Of course, sprinkle in some good ol' fashioned blockchain news, gossip and scandal and I'll be fine with what we have here!!

Have you take a break from the classic 2.0 social media stuff? I know there must be plenty of people on the chain that are as sick as I am as the venom those platforms seem to create....
P.S. This is my second time creating on @ecency and I'm falling in love with their desktop editor, but a quick question for everyone that uses this...Where can we add the tags for different layer 2 tokens and such in our posts? I'd love to add my #bbh tags and others?
Nice to concentrate on more uplifting and productive areas like the blockchain, where you can interact with content that genuinely captivates you.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

I haven't been on X in a long while, but I keep up to things with Youtube. I just find that its much easier on Youtube as opposed to X.

What I don't like about X it's that you need to pay to get your posts recommended. So their algoritm is not showing what's good, but what's being paid...

It's very difficult to cut off tiktalk once you are addicted, X is another one that will slowly take your time. Man! If one doesn't have a high level of discipline, won't stay focuse these days.
