Oh Jongo Of Little Faith...
I'm intentionally leaving the title of this blog empty before I finish writing the article. And it's because I simply have so much I want to try to get across...I'm not sure what this is going to be called until I finish it :)
I enjoy that about writing....Anywho....
I attended another fantastic preaching at the camp I'm at tonight. And the topic was the Kingdom of God. And at first, I'm was thrilled because my new favorite verse in the entire bible is...
This has really changed how I look at not only the gospel, but also the entire message in Scripture.
And what was evident from the preaching tonight is that we are in this very unique time in history. We look back to Christ's first coming, we look up to heaven and heavenly things, and we look forward to His second coming.
Sadly, most in my faith only look towards His second coming. But when we do that, we miss the big picture of what the Kingdom of God truly is.
This is one of the slides that the pastor posted, can you read that bottom line?
"The kingdom of God is the believer's first priority"
Powerful. And I really tried to unpack this throughout the night, and this blog is me kind of hashing it out while I go lol
Story time...
It's really tight for me these days. I've got a fantastic job, and it's still stressful to make ends meet for my family and I.
So to ease the stress, I've been thinking about getting back into my entrepreneurial ways. I've looked into old connections in the internet marketing space, I've done some research on what is hot and what is not in home based businesses....But I never stopped and asked God if this is what He wanted for my life.
I did not make the kingdom of God, my first priority.
I think it comes down to trust.
Do I trust the promises of God?
Do I trust that everything will be provided, because God even takes care of the birds of the earth and feeds them?
And while I was self reflecting those questions I came up with....
No.
Oh Jongo of little faith...
Why is that? If only Jesus would have left some hints...You know, like when He told Thomas that those that believe without seeing are the ones that are richly blessed.
And something He reminds us. I am richly blessed. I have more in my life than I could ever need, so everything is provided, but what can I do about the stress of making ends meet...
Simple.
Trust God.
He will lay things out for me, He will show me a way to lessen the stress. But I have to trust Him more. And this isn't a 'works based' faith I'm talking about here,...I'm talking about actually trusting and believing the God of Scripture and all His promises.
I am prayerfully doing that this evening, and the Holy Spirit is already working for me :) He gave me an idea and allows me to keep my first priority, the Kingdom of heaven!
God is so good!

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
