Amen. Exactly why I don't like to discuss anything much with others since I'm not "equipped" yet and might just drive more people away.
I've been told I've already done such before, as people have blocked and unfriended me over my religious posts on various social media since I got renewed in the faith 3 yrs ago. And at the time I was really so into posting lots of stuff online, but when people started hating on me, during prayer it felt like God told me people were complaining abt me to Him or something. And even during confession (priest in Persona Christi) I was told I won't have any friends w/ such an attitude. Lol. So I had to realign myself to His teachings. Spiritual pride is such a terrible thing indeed.
Lessons in humility are always a blessing because otherwise we won't know we're doing the wrong thing already. I'm happy to read this from a fellow Christian. These things aren't what most people discuss at all. Not even in my church orgs.
God uses our prideful moments to help us learn humility. And so these days I just do what I can as I try my best to get rid of the ego. 😅
i think that’s something to look forward to in heaven. being able to ‘figure more things out’. lol we will have an eternity with Christ to learn so much.
don’t stress out too much if people start ‘hating’ you. Jesus says we will be hated for His name.
