Book, 3DP, New Orthotics, 16.8 Mile Ride, Potholes, NEW BIKE! - Wednesday
WHAT A DAY YESTERDAY! Was up early as per norm to the remnants of the storm on its way past.

This book RULES! So damn handy to have essentially chord flash cards and I ended up finding a group of really nice sounding chords. Played them all later in the day and will do a search to see which songs use the same. Dmaj7, Em, Asus4, and A will make a great song.

#3dprinter was going early on more links.

Tis the season for sportsing. Europe has oodles of cycling events now so mornings have them on streaming I can watch while writing my post. I learn a good bit just by watching their form.

10 am I was a t the hospital to go the the clinic for my new orthotics. They are AMAZING and the morton's extension on my right foot will help my pain levels diminish as my foot shape readjusts.

Interesting clouds floating around still as I headed for home.

Handy this month's Outside has all the cycling events coming up so I can better plan out my summer. Doing the Lilac Century ride in May, then likely the Ride in Sandpoint in June, then the Coeur D'Fondo in CDA in September.

It was 11am when I got out on my ride for the day. It was my first try of my cycling jersey and HOLY SHIT did it make a difference. The running vest was a MASSIVE wind drag and my pace picked up a lot without it on.

The jersey is super bad ass. It kept me nice and warm as I started the ride then it kept me rather cool as I got into and finished the ride.

Ended up riding some new ground north of the schools before heading back south towards the house.
More links done.

Mid afternoon I had to go move gravel around as we had a bunch of potholes open up in the driveway.

THEN at 6pm I was purchasing my new ROAD BIKE!!!! It is used but it is BADASS! SUPER lightweight compared to any bike I have ever owned. I have to tune the front derailleur to see if it will hit all 3 sprockets.

Took me a minute to figure out how to shift the thing but I got it now. Today I go try it out on a ride of the Children Of The Sun trail in Spokane which is 8.7 miles one way.

While R was at wrestling practice I got a bit o time at the board and found my 3x-20 aim a bit better.

@stryeyz leaving this morning for a long weekend. Will get boys to school in a while, send her off, then I have a landscape startup for my longest client, then I will go for my first ride on my bike. In the afternoon I pick R up from STEM then J has his band concert this evening we will go to.

Nice bike my friend!👍😊
Good find, enjoy your ride today!🤗
For a 20+ year old bike it is in good condition and insanely light weight. I have no need for a new brand bike yet, especially since they are $3k. I am just fine with an old used one.
I agree with you, my friend $3000!🙄
I would’ve bought the bike you did as well!👍😊
As usual, I am astonished by how much you pack into one day. I am pleased to hear your new orthotics are helpful; those can make such a difference in one's pain level.
My old ones I got in 2013 or 2014 and I ran ultras with them. Probably have well over 10k miles on the things, 3k of which was running while the rest was my daily life. It was past time for a new set.
That's a nice bike AND a nice jersey! It's crazy how expensive good cycling gear is, but it's worth it. Like you I started with my old running gear and everything was flapping in the wind 😅
This is the jersey I got, $27 and I have a 2nd one coming tomorrow.
That's a good price!
