Giving the Right Gift for the Christmas

During Christmas, the idea of giving and receiving virtual gifts has lost its charm to most of us. Honestly, I wonder how many people actually spend hours online just to find a perfect gift for their loved ones? It's such a tempting thing for me to just send a text, tweet, or a picture as a gift and be done with it.

Much of the attention appears to be directed towards the use of tech and the question of what gifts would Santa be bringing us. It might be time to take a break from gadgets and get some real value for someone. In an age where we are so often connected to screens (the television, computer, and cell phone) it has become more common to receive a virtual gift than a tangible one. Instead of just giving a gift from Zazzle to someone, you can really explore their life and get them something authentic.

Christmas is definitely a time for giving, and giving a gift that has genuine value will of course mean a lot more to the person receiving it. I am not saying that we should stop giving virtual gifts altogether, but simply stepping out into the real world and giving something that is really tangible will carry a lot more weight.

Make the gift of someone a gift that they will always remember and which they can put in their home or office. It might be something as simple as a coffee mug or an actual painting. Maybe it is your cousin’s favorite drink or maybe it is a set of wireless headphones.

It is not enough that the Christmas spirit is buzzing around the streets and is having its way with us, it is time also to give something real to someone we truly cherished. There is nothing more amazing than if you can give something tangible to someone who needs it and you always have it available.

I know a lot of us have good intentions in sending virtual Christmas gifts this year, but we can do more than that if we really want to get a Christmas gift for someone special to you. You cannot compare the feelings and thrill of receiving something tangible from a virtual friend, it is way beyond imagination how your virtual friend would feel to receive a tangible gift from you.

“It is the thought that counts,” they say, but in reality (well, at least in spirit) we all know the opposite is true. When it comes to giving presents at this time, we have become some of the worst offenders in the spirit of giving. Between our time killing jobs, and keeping vigilance on our crypto tokens, many of us have focused on ways to give out virtual gifts as if they are tokenized NFTs.

Good as this may seem, I believe we have what it takes to do more than that. Yes, we can! So I make this one simple request this year for those of us who still have time left to give a gift. Get something valuable for a gift for your virtual friend this Christmas. That's the true spirit of Christmas.
