Time For an Early Morning Summer Walk...

It's not everything so dandy and fun in the summer... The last 10 days, we had extreme heat all over Europe, but still, I wouldn't change it for a cold winter... Okay, it would be better to have some moderate temperatures, but let's not be so picky... On this Sunday, I wanted to create a more "serious" post with my observations, which I got during this walk, but I decided to spare you the stress over the weekend... So, let's just enjoy the photos from the seaside!

1000026648.jpg

1000026649.jpg

Some of you will probably recognize the place, and some of you were with me in that place... 😃 We are walking around Calpe, one of the busy tourist cities between Alicante and Valencia, in Spain...

1000026651.jpg

1000026652.jpg

1000026654.jpg

I have shared a couple of walks from this place, but every time, I find something interesting to photograph, and it's different to walk around in different parts of the year.... In summer, I wouldn't suggest walking during the midday, as it's too hot and you will probably get sunburn worse than lying on the beach... I took these photos this morning, between 9 and 10 AM! As you may notice in the first photo, the first beachgoers were already taking positions, while the other beach was empty, as it was still in the shade of the early sun...

1000026655.jpg

1000026656.jpg

1000026658.jpg

Those who took profits during the bull crypto markets are probably the lucky owners of the yachts, anchored close to the port... 😃 😂 Those who didn't cash out are searching pennies under the rock in the photo below... 🤣

1000026659.jpg

1000026660.jpg

1000026661.jpg

This flamingo is doing personal research on the new type of shrimps... There is an X-story which says that you need fewer shrimps per day as they are full of calories... The Flamingo's Holy Grail! Imagine all that excess time to watch around, chase some flamingo chicks instead of putting the head under the water all day?! 🤣

1000026662.jpg

This photo was one of the ones that made my brain think... These 2 buildings weren't there 1-2 years ago, and now, they are close to being finished... There are dozens of similar projects in the building process at the moment, and some of them are literally 20 meters from the beach... Remember the beach in the shade from above? Well, "thanks" to buildings like this, there will be more of them who will not have sunlight in the mornings or in the evenings... And it's not pleasant to sit wet, but the sea, in the morning/evening shade... All that shortens the "quality" time you can have on the beach... Isn't that ironic? You came to enjoy the sea, while "killing" the point by constructing these monsters by the sea... But, that's another topic...

1000026664.jpg

A bit more of the flamingo's lake, and unfortunately, more monstrous buildings in the background...

I hope you enjoyed this walk... Have a great rest of the weekend!

Thank you for your time.

The seaside photos capture the essence of summer, even amidst the heat. I agree, a moderate temperature would be better ;)

Regarding the temperature, it's a bit better than it was a week ago... Hopefully, it will stabilize at max 30 degrees... 😃

putting the head under the water all day

They are using that time in the water to cool down in these summer days 🤪

So, welcome to the Summer Vibes community 👏 😁

I didn't think in that direction! It makes sense! 😀

cement, cement everywhere and then complain for the record heat.... we need fucking trees and grass! but those dont bring money of course

In that specific city, the land "is limited" and because of that, they went wild with those huge buildings... In some other places, they do leave space for parks, pools, trees, but here, it's just one beside the other... 😞

But, it's a pity as the place was cool and unique... Soon, it will be just another tourist city without "soul"...

Makes me think at Menorca, they didn't want more buildings for tourism to keep the nature as it was

I hope you still have some greenery around your garden to protect you from the heat! 🍻

While reading your post I understood that with this summer vibes it came time to wake up early and go to harvest wild berries 🍓 in fields to feel this special summer taste before long day with family at the beginning of the week!

Oh, yes! If you have a nearby forest, an early walk and berries are the best combination... I can feel the morning breeze just describing it... 😃

I heard in germany it goes up to 40C, that's crazy hot! Over here these months are actually the most pleasant weather to travel around. I also enjoy morning walks as it's not too hot!

In our place, we had around 36-37 max last week, but I know that in some parts of Spain it went up to 43-45 degrees!
Luckily, now it's a bit better... We have around 30-31...

I think I’ll stick with the rock, even though I’d love a yacht, but I didn’t make any profit, ha ha ha

I haven’t managed to go to the beach yet!! I’m acting as a nurse, looking after my mum, because things got a bit complicated with her high blood pressure due to stress… the beach will have to wait a bit longer, but I loved the photos… they’re gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to go and sunbathe and take a dip in the sea!😃

I think the best thing would be to hit the beach with your mom to release that stress! 😃
Hopefully, your mom will recover soon! 💪

Here we are celebrating her birthday; we both have our birthdays two days apart.😆

It’s true, the beach would be brilliant, but she can’t go because of her eye operation, no wind, sand or sun for 15 days. We’ll wait a bit.🤗

There you go... Solution for your mom! 🙂

Mmm... those new buildings are quite an eyesore. What a pity, the beach looks so nice

It's getting out of control... The worst thing is that in all those buildings, during the whole year, probably live not more than 10-20% of the people! 😱

I would love to tell you to come here and experience a stable climate that lasts practically 365 days a year, but as you know, this is the worst time to visit... Reading your words surprises me, because what I experienced in Spain—back in early spring—really took me aback; that chill in the streets was something I had never felt before. But yes, I can see how the heat in Europe can be scorching in the summer. So far, the closest thing to Caracas was when I visited Rome in October; that must be a pleasant time of year for you. Beautiful photos, my friend—I’m happy to have said hello ❤️

I suppose our summer is worse than the hottest day in Venezuela... 🙂 We have slowed down a bit with travelling, and still without plans for this summer family visit... will see if it will happen, and how...
It would be great to travel somewhere out of Europe, but the financials aren't the best ones...

Thanks for checking out the post... Take care and greetings to the family! 🌹

I think Spain has many similar coastlines like Calpe. The sound of the sea, the presence of birds around, and the peaceful moments spent on the beach are the most beautiful gifts bestowed upon humanity, resting both the mind and body and renewing the soul. I also agree with your thoughts on excessive construction. Development is certainly important, but the natural beauty that attracts people to a region should not be destroyed. Because as long as we protect nature, it will continue to offer us peace and happiness. It was a lovely walk along the coast. You also made some good observations, my friend.

Thanks for checking out the post! Happy to see you like it! 🍻

Development is certainly important, but the natural beauty that attracts people to a region should not be destroyed.

In all that development, they destroy the natural beauty which was the reason why people came in the first place! It's like undermining yourself... 🤦‍♂

The sea looks nice during the summer, but I do agree that the buildings can look annoying when you just want to view the scenery.

Luckily, there are still smaller towns that aren't this much constructed... Hopefully, they will stay like that... We need diversity and not only these huge buildings!

There's something else about early morning walks by the sea—the world feels quieter, more honest, before the heat kicks in. Extreme European summers are sadly becoming the norm, but moments like this make it all worthwhile. Beautiful and peaceful shot!

Good evening @ph1102, I'm also sure there are other hivers who have been with you in Calpe and have read this post.

The walk is a delight, especially at that time of day. A delight threatened by "development." I hope it won't be long before I can enjoy the same walk, see the sea, smell the salt air, feel the sea breeze, and be in good company.

I hope you enjoy a splendid evening.
