Getting started

What is The BBH Project?
It's a community built on the Hive blockchain, with its own token — BBHO. This site is our home: read and write posts, chat, play games, earn rewards, and support the project. Everything you do here lives on Hive, so it's yours — no one can delete your account or take your content.

Do I need an account?
Yes — a free Hive account. You can browse without one, but to post, vote, tip, or play for prizes you'll need to log in. If you don't have a Hive account yet, ask in the community and we'll help you get one.

How do I log in?
We use Hive Keychain — a secure browser extension (and mobile app) that holds your keys and signs your actions. Install it, add your account, then click Login. Prefer not to use an extension? HiveAuth works too. We never see or store your keys.

Can I use more than one account?
Yes. Log in with one account, then open the account menu (top right) → Add account. Switch between them with one click — each switch just asks Keychain to sign you in. Only the account names are remembered on your device; never your keys.

Posting & content

How do I write a post?
Click the pencil ✏️ (top bar). Give it a title, write your post (Markdown supported), add tags, and hit Publish — Keychain will ask you to sign. Your work is auto-saved as a draft to your account as you type, so it follows you across devices.

What's the difference between a post and a Chat?
A post is long-form (articles, updates). Chats are short-form — quick thoughts, like microblogging — and live under the Chats tab.

Can I split rewards with others?
Yes — in the publisher, open Advanced to add beneficiaries (accounts that get a share of your post rewards) and to set the payout type.

My post won't publish — what do I do?
The app now tells you exactly what's wrong (missing title/tags, an invalid permlink, etc.). Make sure Hive Keychain is installed and enabled in your browser, and that you're logged in. If it still fails, note the error message and let us know.

BBHO & your wallet

What is BBHO?
BBHO is the project's Hive-Engine token. You earn it through curation and rewards, use it in the arcade, tip creators, and hold or stake it to support the project.

Where do I see my balance?
Open your Wallet (account menu → Wallet). You'll find your BBHO balance, a portfolio value with a mini price chart, claimable rewards, and your Hive balances.

How do I get or trade BBHO?
From your Wallet you can jump to Tribaldex to trade BBHO for HIVE. You also earn it by posting and curating great content.

How do I tip someone?
Use the Tip button on a post to send BBHO (or HIVE/HBD) straight to the author.

The Arcade & games 🎮

Are the games free?
The games are free to play — always. 🐝 Honey Drop, 🍯 Hive Merge, 🐝 Bee Invaders and 🧩 Daily Buzzle cost nothing to enjoy. Some have an optional prize mode where a small BBHO buy-in puts you in the running for a weekly pot.

What is the Arcade Ladder / shared pot?
One weekly Arcade Pass (currently 0.25 BBHO) puts you on a combined ladder across the skill games. Your best score in each game earns points; the top players split the weekly BBHO pot. Playing for free never changes — the pass only adds you to the prize race.

What's Daily Buzzle?
Our daily word game — guess the word in six tries, and keep your streak alive by playing every day. The longest streaks each week share a sponsored BBHO reward (currently 5 BBHO split among the top 3). Solved it? Share your result grid to challenge friends.

What's the Prediction game?
Each week you can stake BBHO on where HIVE's price is headed. Everyone's stakes form a pot, and the correct side splits it (minus a small burn). Pick, pay the stake, and check back at week's end.

Is it fair / can scores be faked?
Every prize game is server-verified: scores are session-bound and bounded, and prize payouts run automatically each week from the project account. Eligibility (a small account age + stake) keeps throwaway accounts out of the pots.

Curating, the Witness & tools

What's the Curated feed?
"Curator's Picks" highlights posts hand-picked by our curation trail — a great place to find the best of the community.

What's a witness, and why should I vote for ours?
Witnesses produce the blocks that keep Hive running. The BBH Project runs a witness — @thebbhproject. Voting for it is free (it doesn't spend your tokens), and a higher rank means more block rewards that we reinvest into the project. See the Our Witness page for one-click voting.

What are the "Hive Tools"?
Handy utilities (earnings dashboards, curation insights, account cards and more) from our partner Botlord, linked where they're useful — on profiles, in your wallet, and on the Tools page. They open in a new tab so you keep one login across the tools you already trust.

Safety

Will you ever ask for my keys?
Never. We never ask for, see, or store your private keys — Hive Keychain signs everything locally. Anyone asking for your keys, password, or "master password" is trying to scam you. Keep your keys offline and safe.

Something looks broken / a page is slow.
Hive is a live network and nodes occasionally hiccup. If a page is slow or shows an error, a refresh usually fixes it. If it persists, let us know what you saw — it helps us fix it fast.
