My First Hive Delegation – A New Step Forward
Greetings Hivers!!!
I am a doctor from Pakistan... Recently I reached 1048 Hive Power after consistent activity on the platform. This felt like a big achievement for me.

So, today I made my first delegation of 500 HP to PakX token. I chose @pakx because it offers great returns for delegators. This decision makes my Hive resources work better for me. I love sharing my thoughts on Hive. My blogs talk about health tips, daily life in Pakistan and my own life experiences. I also write about community and personal growth stories. These posts help me connect with many people around the world.
Delegation on Hive is simple and useful. Hive Power is your staked HIVE that gives voting power and resource credits. When you delegate HP you lend the power to another account without losing ownership. The receiver uses this power for their projects or operations. In return many projects like PakX give rewards to delegators.
You can take back your power anytime but it returns after a five to seven day waiting period. I kept about half of my HP undelegated. This way I still have good voting power and enough resources for my own posts and comments.
How it Feels?
It feels safe and balanced for a beginner like me. This first delegation is an exciting milestone. It matches my values of caring and steady growth. I will continue my medical work and keep blogging on Hive. I plan to track the returns from PakX closely. I want to learn more and maybe delegate more in future. Hive has opened many new doors for me as a writer. If you are new to Hive start small and research good projects first.
Delegation can help your power grow over time.
Let us connect and grow together on this wonderful platform.

General Homeopathic Doctor...
Congratulations, my friend! I have a lot of HP delegations, and I always do my best to keep it as close to 50% delegated as possible. I just recently recalled two, and combined the returned HP into a larger delegation to @steembasicincome, which increases the amount of HSBIDAO that I receive each day quite a lot. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

How @steembasicincome do better for it's delegators? I mean if I delegate 500Hp will I get any Upvotes just from delegation, without adding SBI , is it the way it works?
Delegating to @steembasicincome now gives HSBIDAO, usually multiple times per day, which is an exceedingly useful asset. as it has a stable and consistent market price due to a solid buy wall, and it's a self-growing token, so the more that you have, the faster it grows. Also, no matter whether it's just sitting in your wallet, or if you add it into any of the four HSBIDAO liquidity pools, you will still earn the usual curation divididends (more HSBIDAO). I'm strongly focusing on both HSBIDAO and LBI, both of which are run by solid people and projects. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Thanks for the info.

Remember that it has been 2 weeks since the PIZZA token tipping bot last worked, and 2 months since the BEER token tipping bot last worked. 🤔🍕🍺🤯😅 !WEIRD !LOLZ
!LOLZ they keep breaking the momentum;
At least, the !LOLZ token tipping command that you used there has its bot still working !INDEED, despite its owner/operator @captaincryptic not around for half a year! 🤔🤯😅
Sure thing, my friend, you're always very welcome, I hope it's useful for you. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I saw a few people on Hive with high amounts of Hive Power say that the maximum amount of outgoing HP delegations should be less than 30% of owned HP, though many others (including a few Hive Whales) say that it's up to the owner of the Hive account how to use its (liquid and staked) tokens. 🤔🧘♂️🤯
!HOPE
!LOLZ
That's nice, and I really don't care what anyone else things about how I manage my Hive Power. 50/50 is a good split for me, as I see it as half for the benefit of the community, and half as benefiting myself, though both do both, so it's not quite so clear cut, but it's a useful metric. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!HOPE
!LOLZ
In @savvyplayer's case, almost 88% of their owned Hive Power goes to outgoing delegations, where more than half of such goes to the #Ecency official Hive account. 🤔💸😅
Anyway, they have an incoming delegation of 216 HP from Ecency Perks. 🤔😏
Given that HIVE's fiat price continues its free fall, and our vote values likewise continue to decline, even when we have more and more HP, delegating a good portion of it seems quite logical.
Ditto that. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I saw @savvyplayer's notification where the #dustsweeper bot needed to vote with 47.31% Voting Percentage (almost half of a full vote) just to sweep your dust vote on their comment !INDEED. 🤔💸🤯 That's because of the very low price of the HIVE token right now. 💸🤯🤓

That's getting pretty ridiculous I'd say. No wonder it can't get to many comments. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

When the #dustsweeper Hive account's Voting Power is close to 100%, then the bot does not have much dust votes being swept (for Hive accounts with enough dust-sweeping balance), while if the VP is a bit lower than 80%, then the bot is having a hard time !INDEED. 🤔🤓💸🤯
I haven't noticed the #dustsweeper bot give out "bonus" votes (for its users) when its VP is almost at 100%. 🤔🤯😅
!WEIRD
!HOPE
!WINEX
It sounds like it needs quite a bit more HP delegated to it, and that's curious about the bonus votes being given when it can't even vote effectively for the non-bonus votes. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

The dust-sweeping activity of the #dustsweeper bot varies !WILDly !INDEED. 🤔🤯 One (major) reason for that is that some dustsweeper users get surprised at how fast their respective balances get depleted (to below 0.03 HIVE), making them unable to top-up on time, where at least some of their dust votes get dusted. 💸🤯🤓
!WEIRD

I've noticed, and indeed, that happened to me too, which is one reason that I stopped topping it up. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Maybe you want to set up recurring HIVE token transfers to the #dustsweeper bot's Hive account (like what both I and @savvyplayer does), so that you can get updated at how much your dustsweeper balance is on any given day !INDEED. 🤔🤓 You can set up as low as 0.1 HIVE per few days, then just manually send a bigger amount when you feel like it. 😎😏
I've thought about doing that, but I've mostly stayed with just saving my liquid HIVE for HPUD powerups. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!INDEED
Whenever your incoming dust votes get swept by #dustsweeper, they get added to your Hive Power, so you technically don't lose HIVE for that !INDEED. 🤔🧘♂️ You can use the memo "ININ" (without quotes) when you top-up your dustsweeper balance to prevent the bot from sweeping your outgoing dust votes to conserve your balance there. 🤓😏
!WEIRD
!HOPE
!WINEX
Oh, I know, I remember. When I did use it, I had it do all votes, which with my activity drained my balance very quickly. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!HOPE
!INDEED
!WINE
!WEIRD
While it's true that your #dustsweeper balance would get quickly depleted if you have many comments that needed dust-sweeping, you get the equivalent Hive Power for that, which is practically just like indirectly Powering Up your HIVE tokens !INDEED. 🤔🤓 There's also the dustsweeper guarantee that just in case they tried to sweep one of your (incoming or outgoing) dust votes and the vote(s) still turned to dust, then your balance won't get deducted for that vote. 🤓😏
!LOLZ
I wasn't aware of that guarantee. That's useful. Maybe I'll try it again soon. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!INDEED
!LOLZ
Whatever (incoming or outgoing) votes getting dusted even after getting swept by the #dustsweeper bot is either because of the price of the HIVE token sharply declining just after the boost, or some people removing rewards by flagging. 🤔🤯
In the first case, dustsweeper tries to avoid it from happening by boosting the total votes to $0.026 (which is 30% higher than the dust threshold). 🤓😏 In the second case though, I don't know if the refund guarantee applies. 🧘♂️🤯
Yes, I was aware of it voting to 0.026, and I that's a good question about whether this would apply to downvoted comments. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

The owner/operator of the #dustsweeper bot is danielsaori, though it has been more than a year since his last comment/post here on Hive !INDEED, so I don't know if asking him would give us an answer (soon). 🤔🤓😅

Good thing though that his #dustsweeper bot continues to work normally despite him not publishing any post or comment here on Hive. 🤔😎
Anyway, I noticed the #HiveBuzz and #HiveEngage project owner/operator "broke" his 11 days of inactivity on Hive by replying to @savvyplayer (that he does not use AI to reply to comments, but templates instead). 🤯😅
Indeed, the bots are more reliable than many people it would seem.
Ah, that's very good to know. Perhaps I'll respond to them again. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Yes, I'm pretty sure that would be the case. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
