The Dark Side of Free Account Signups on Inleo
Today I want to share something that has been bothering me for a while. As many of you already know, on inleo.io it is possible to create a Hive account completely for free. No special knowledge is needed, and you do not even need to spend Hive or Resource Credits. As long as Inleo still has account creation tickets left, it works without any problems.
This system is great for onboarding new users. It helps people discover Hive and join the community in just a few minutes. But like with many good things in life, there is also a dark side. And sadly, it is becoming more and more visible now.
For a long time, it seems that this system has been heavily abused. Thousands and thousands of accounts have been created using this free signup method. But what is new is that many of these accounts are starting to become more active. It looks like whoever created them is getting greedy now.
In the last few days, I received waves of new followers on my Hive account. I am not talking about five or ten. I mean hundreds, all with very random usernames and strange activity. My guess is that the person behind this thinks that by following real users, they will get votes back in return. Maybe they hope people will auto-vote or blindly support whatever these accounts post.
But this is not how our Hive community works.
The Hive community is smart and watches these things closely. Many people are already aware of the problem, and they do not support low quality or AI generated spam. Especially not if it comes from accounts that were made just to farm rewards.
So I wanted to warn you all and ask you to please check your auto-voting settings. Be careful who you vote for and support. Right now, there are thousands of accounts out there that use their free Resource Credits to follow others, vote random posts, and publish low effort or AI generated content.
I am not against free accounts. In fact, I believe they are important for the future growth of Hive. But there needs to be a balance. Abuse like this hurts our community and the value we try to create every day.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

There are some issue with inleo. I referred someone, and when he opened the account...2 different account start reflecting on my referral id. ... I find it strange...but you know the problem with hive, small wallet holder remain unheard or get DV. So avoided it.
This is why blockchains have fees even if they are small and low. The entire setup of hive is doomed to fail as time moves on and we are clearly seeing that in the price action. The amount of abuse that goes on for a few pennies is crazy and these accounts and people just bleed the system of value while no value is added back into the system ever.

Not fully surprising.
Some will always try to run game. Not the fault of Inleo for creating a free easy onboarding experience. I believe such is needed if you want the masses to come here. I find comments detailing others to create a bunch of free accounts to burn creation tickets to be more part of the problem than the solution. A solution would be to simply do what you are doing. Notifying others to ensure such accounts don't get votes. Of course there is always the option that maybe Hive isn't destined for such adaption but instead a different type of adaption that leads to a more concentrated group.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

People tend to go overboard when the subject revolves around 'earning' anything. I've learned that I cannot use certain terms or words when discussing Web3 or Hive with interested people because the moment they hear a specific phrase it is like a sleeper agent activates and they want to know how they can benefit immediately with little to no depth or persistence in participating with the platform and what it truly offers.

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
