Welcome back to the weekly RUNE guessing game! After a strong rally in early July, RUNE has cooled off alongside the broader market. Over the past 7 days, the price dropped from around $1.65 to briefly under $1.40, before bouncing back slightly to $1.45 at the time of writing. It’s been a volatile week, with BTC dragging most altcoins down, but Thorchain continues to show fundamental strength under the hood.

Volume on the network remains solid, and protocol revenue is still flowing. Thorchain continues to expand, with growing activity on the newly added TRON chain—especially in USDT swaps. Ruji adoption is progressing steadily, and perhaps most exciting this week is the rise of LeoDex as a new frontend built on Thorchain.

LeoDex offers simple, cross-chain swaps without the need for bridging or wrapping—just what the average user needs to onboard to true DeFi. With user-friendly interfaces like this popping up, Thorchain is getting closer to mainstream usability. Yet, the market hasn’t fully priced in this potential—at least not yet.

So what’s next for RUNE? More downside, consolidation, or another breakout?
