Can you Trust AI with your Wallet?

So the next exciting topic that people in the crypto world are really into is AI agents. Up until now AI they've been pretty much chat bots answering your questions, but developers are now building systems that can actively do things for you on the blockchain, such as: operate your crypto wallet.

An AI agent could have access to your wallet and then perform certain actions in an automated fashion. They're able to sign your transactions, work with protocols, transfer your assets between chains, or even get involved in DeFi. For some of you it will sound like the future of crypto, for others it will raise one specific question in particular.

Can we really trust an AI with our wallets?

Wallets are your access key to anything that you have in the blockchain, once someone or something gains access to them they're effectively in charge of whatever they have within them. Having the capability for an AI to do that seems both awesome and slightly scary.

For those that think that it is amazing, an AI agent can take away a lot of the stress in crypto; interacting with protocols and signing transactions can be complex and overwhelming for most people. An AI agent could just take that away for you; you could tell it "Bridge my tokens and put them in the most rewarding pool". This would all be done for you in an instant.

But there are also risks; AI is still very much in development, they are not perfect and may misinterpret things, or interact with the wrong contract. If the AI agent signs the wrong transaction then there is no going back and your money is gone instantly due to how a blockchain transaction works.

Security is another major concern; it is possible for hackers to compromise an AI agent, in which case they can take all your funds within your wallet, and that fact alone may stop discourage people from giving an AI full access to their wallet.
