Giving: The Way to True Happiness and Success

The poor are not necessarily stingy, the rich are not necessarily liberal. But being too stingy won't make you better.

Comparativeness is an obstacle that hinders the sublimation of one's temperament and is also a negative self-defense mechanism. Such people often have a selfish, cold, closed temperament, causing life to fall into a vicious cycle, becoming more and more incompetent.

The reason a man can live freely is not that he has more good things, but because he is less compared.

If a person's heart constantly compares, he will see all the words of resentment everywhere; but if your heart is open, you will always find springtime. Giving is the best way to communicate, because "giving" will make us feel happier, happier than when "receiving" twice.

We need to learn how to behave smartly

There is this short story I read in a book about a man who was both hungry and thirsty, he was almost dying in the middle of the desert. But suddenly he discovered, there was a small shabby house in which there was a water pump, and next to it was a water jug with a wooden warm mouth.

Right on the ground next to the jug was a piece of paper that read: “First, please pour the water in this bottle into the water pump, then you can pump the water. However, please fill the jug with water before you go."

Now the man is faced with a difficult choice. If he poured all the water in the jug into the pump and the water still wouldn't come out, wouldn't this life-saving water bottle go to waste? But conversely, if he drank all the water in the bottle, how long would he keep his life?

Thinking for a while, the man finally decided to follow what was written on the paper. As expected, the water pump spewed fresh spring water, and the man happily drank it.

After relieving his thirst, he sat down to rest for a while and then filled the jug with water again. At the same time, he left two more sentences on the paper: “Believe me, what is written on the paper is true. As long as you take life and death lightly and learn to give, you can taste the sweet and fragrant spring water."

The main point of the story is that we can only truly be happy when we can be grateful for every little thing that we have. Even for things that we don't feel that we truly deserve to have.We should keep in mind that the ability to take the right decision at the point of our needs is what differentiates between being smart and being an idiot. We always have the power to change our destiny when we master the act of giving even at a point where it seems we should receive.

We all have Seven things that we can give in abundance to others

A yoga Chinese site has this short story on its home page. "A poor man asked a wise man, "Why am I so poor?"

The wise man replied, "Because you didn't learn to give."

The poor man said, "If I have nothing, how can I give to others?"

The wise man replied, "A person who has nothing can give others 7 good things!"

Again the poor man asked, "What are the seven good things?"

The wise man replied: “Face: Smiling and acting. Language: Speak words of praise and comfort. Heart: Open your heart, and be gentle with everyone. Eyes: Looking at others with goodwill. Body: Help others with actions. Respect: Humbly give way to others. Housing: Having the heart to accommodate others.

When the poor heard this, they were also awakened to great enlightenment.

So, if a person wants to have true success and happiness in life, he must learn how to give, true happiness is to share with others, otherwise, his heart will be like a dead sea, only water flows in, and without going out, it will eventually begin to stink.

Getting what you want can be satisfying, but giving is a different kind of joy. When a person puts his or her comparison down and learns how to give, then, will only be able to reap true happiness; Understanding how to give can get more in return!

Got me thinking about the famous Bob Marley interview fragment (“Are you a rich man?”)
Worth checking out!

Care to share a link about the interview, I will like to read it. Perhaps I could make something out of it.
