Looking for water
Greetings to all my blockchain friends! Today I’m sharing these photos with my brother @ades.ink, who spent the entire weekend with me to celebrate my birthday. Today, we went out together to take care of some daily errands.
One of these tasks—and the most important one—is finding drinking water. Whether for personal consumption or for hygiene—brushing your teeth and washing your face—it’s usually a simple, everyday thing: you wake up and do it. Normally, there’s water in the pipes, but that’s not the case here.
The good news is that it’s only a six-block walk from home to where we get water; the round trip usually takes 40 minutes. But these days, the water shortage is due to power outages and damage to the water pumps in the municipality of Ezequiel Zamora.
These kinds of daily hardships have become so common that little by little we’ve started to see them as normal, and suddenly the town has grown accustomed to these kinds of situations.
Despite this, we’re keeping our spirits up and smiling as always, since that’s all we have.
Bathing and cooking are basic necessities; when these conveniences are taken away, it’s impossible to have a normal day. Just knowing that such simple, everyday tasks have become difficult and a struggle—imagine how the rest must be.
