Cold nights that inspire walking and poetry.

Welcome to Punta de Mata, a town that I would describe in a few words as a place lacking in freedom and culture, as well as light.

By light, I don't just mean the light reflected by lampposts and light bulbs, but the light of our thoughts and ideas, the light we call the light of life.

Tonight, I'm going to walk right into the center and sit in this square with my card, listening to some boombap instrumentals, a few words flowing, a few rhymes and phrases that belong to everyone, both in the rhythm and in my mind, phrases like the one I mentioned earlier in one of the songs I've recorded, where I emphasize:

• "Quién me dirá lo que está bien o lo que está mal si al final todo es beneficio personal si no me crees date una vuelta allá en el furrial en donde la riqueza es un mito pero la pobreza es real"

And here I am, looking around me and picking up my pen to write some new rhymes, observing this large plant right in front of me.

I don't know its name, but its colors and shapes caught my attention so much that it became the initial inspiration for this post.

Short, simple messages like this encourage us to look around and notice the details that are usually there but that we don't see because we're distracted.
