Hope this post find you well, in this one I will be sharing some of the stuff we have been working on behind the scenes and what this means for the future of DUO, we mentioned our plans of expanding our income generating operations outside of curations and author rewards, in this post we get into more of this.

DUO loans

We touched on offering collateral loans, so lets expand on this here!
We are going to be offering collateralized loans as a service.
Lets start with the most cool example. You are a big old baller and you have 2000 DUO! living it up much? you could stake that DUO and get that daily curation, max DUO bot calls and sweet daily divs.

But

With a DUO collateralized loan one can still get the benefit of that 2000 DUO stake even though the DUO is no longer in their procession, they still get the daily curation, divs and bot calls(assuming the conditions of the loan are being meet) after the loan is paid off they get their 2000 DUO back.

We have yet to sort out the math for the loans, as we mentioned before we need to get funding for these loans first, I propose we power down some of @duo-curators HP and convert to HBD and put into saving waiting for loans customers, while also accumulating interest, sure this means the DUO HP ratio takes a hit, but if we look at the reality of the situation these significant price drops in hive have diminished our tranche structure, we have been building up the accounts HP but its worth in $ has dropped significantly, this move to loans earlier could have meant we had a higher dollar value in our more diverse reserves but better later then never, we want to get a feel from our stackers about how they would feel about such a move

DUO service nodes ?

I have been going deeper and deeper into the development space, I recently took over running the DOOK bot scrip on my local server, beside that I have been developing some tools that mostly help the team better manage the DUO project.

We now get comprehensive information about DUO unstaking and sales, as well as a full view of the orderbooks.

Besides those notification scripts, I have been working on something to automatically manage our new post to earn program, we have a private channel that lets us know when someone sets @duo-curator as benefactor on their post, we also have another channel that shows the payout(after the 7 days) once the testing is fully complete those 2 channels will be made public,

All this stuff takes effort and not very simple but its well worth it.
Right now we have our DUO scrip working on our devs server and it is fairly reliable, I was considering taking over running the DUO scrip on my own server like DOOK however that is not ideal either as now the central point of failure would just move to my server.

That is where the idea for DUO service nodes come in, instead of running the scrip all on my own server, my server could be part of a greater network, what we are looking to do is establish this service node network to give our scripts more reliability but there is more!

It is also an opportunity to make extra profit for the project in running these services as well as selling some of the backend scripts, there is much more technical hurdles to over come, but this all will help make the project much more resilient financially and on technical level .
