"Origins of Labour Day
Labour Day has its roots in an 1872 printers’ strike in Toronto. Fighting for a nine-hour work day, the strikers’ victory was a major milestone in the changing relations between Canadian workers and their government.

Nine Hour Movement
In a time when the news of labour "strife" is dominated by disputes between millionaire athletes and billionaire owners, history provides a useful perspective on a period when working people had to fight to work less than 12 hours a day. The "Nine Hour Movement" began in Hamilton, Ontario, and then spread to Toronto, where its demands were taken up by the Toronto Typographical Union.

In 1869, the union sent a petition to its members' employers requesting a weekly reduction in hours per week to 58, placing itself among the leading advocates in the industrialized world for a shorter work week. Their request was refused outright by the owners of the printing shops, most vehemently by George Brown of The Globe."

We are in a different age and people don't want to admit it. Most of us still work at least eight hours a day just so we can live pay check to pay check. And we feel the need to celebrate that? Sorry if I find that funny.

But for people reading my blog, people that are on the Hive Blockchain and people that are joing my Army on Satsman, the hope is that over time (and a lot longer than most of us want) that we can improve our financial lifes.

Less working for "the man" and more working for ourselves, on your own terms, when you want and how you want. That is the goal.

CURATION TRAIL

No new members to the Curation Trail since last update.

The new goal of 800 members by the end of 2026.

What is the point of a curation trail and why should I join?

Any post that I up vote, everyone that is upto 468 possible upvotes.

When you join the trail you can set your trail vote to what ever you want. Even if you set the up vote to 0.01. Imagine if we had 1,000 people in the trail that would be 10.00 to the post. Fantastic stuff. A little difference can end up making a giant difference to a Hiver.

That being said, we do have 468 members, I know not all are active, some have passed, but the majority of use are still here.

Imagine if we could get 100 people doing just 1 blog post about the curation trail. Do you think the membership would go up quickly?

DRIP DAY

Saturdays are Drip Day. That means it is/was drip day. Now if you are not a regular reader of mine you are wondering what is drip day.

I run a income token and tipping bot all in one. The token is BBH. Every Saturday I payout the people holding BBH tokens. Passive income if you like. I like to call it a 'drip' of a token(s) to the people that own BBH tokens. And unlike some all you have to do is own it. No staking, no nothing.

If you own 10 or more BBH tokens you got a drip of swap.hive.
If you own 5,000 or more BBH tokens you got a drip of swap.hive and the PIMP token, and GLITTER Tokens.

If you stake 20,000 or more BBHO tokens you get a drip of swap.btc, and ALIVE tokens

All just for owning BBH. There are two ways you can get BBH. First you can buy them from the open market. I use TribalDex myself.

BBH AND BBHO TOKEN DIFFERENCE

It seems some people are still confused. So I am putting this section into my daily post.

BBH token was my first token. It is a tipping bot and a passive income token. You only need to hold it, hold 10 or more to get a drip on drip day(below).

BBHO token is the native token of The BBH Project Tribe. The same as LEO is the native token of InLeo.

It is that simple. I did add drips to stakers of BBHO also as I work on building out use cases for the token.
