! [English Version]
In recent years, they have become fashionable long-term contracts, which in turn are multimillion dollar deals, in the so-called golden age of baseball, few were the players who received large salaries, although there were franchise players, who were the face of their franchises, never came to sign contracts for so many years, currently major league organizations are made the services of elite players, for more than a decade, which seems to me an exaggeration, In the first place it is not known if after 5 years his performance will be the same, secondly, the health factor is a real lottery, it is not known if a player who was hired for 15 years, gets injured in the second season of his contract and ends up losing more than half of the seasons that are in his contract, this is something that would only affect the owners of the franchise that dared to sign that player for so many years, in most cases, these contracts come in a hurry.

While it is quite a risk this type of hiring, there are teams that are lucky to have those players at their best level, especially with health, Judge, Aaron Judge, is a living example of a great deal made by the New York Yankees, a couple of season ago a real novel was armed, as it was said that this iconic player will not continue with the Yankees, but he is still a player of this franchise and for many more years, since he signed this agreement, has not stopped producing, his intensity of play remains the same and not to mention his production, In the last season he was the most valuable young circuit, that is to say of the American League, but not everything is rosy in the New York organisation, as other players like Giancarlo Stanton and Gerrit Cole, in recent seasons have been injured, in the case of Cole, Cole will miss this season and part of 2026, while Stanton is a real question mark, the sum of the contracts of these players exceed 500 million, something that if or if they have to pay New York, without receiving any contribution from the aforementioned players.

The case of Judge, one could say that it is an exception, since in more than 70% of cases of players who end up signing multi-year contracts, dramatically lower their performance, there are many examples, Javier Baez, signed a contract of more than 300 million dollars with the Detroit Tigers and has not been the same player who shone with the Chicago Cubs, today the Bengals, can not find what to do with this player, who went from being the second baseman of the team, now experiment with him in the gardens. In the current season, Juan Soto is the most followed player, thanks to his contract of 750 million dollars and a decade and a half with the Mets, but so far has not been even the shadow of Soto who uncorked the league with the Yankees, I have always felt that the Dominican was overrated, had a campaign very similar to that of the Venezuelan Santander, and this cost Toronto 600 million dollars less than Soto, in my opinion, it seems to me that this type of contract instead of favoring the teams, It brings them problems, first in the economic and second in the stability of their payroll, since having a player so expensive, deprives you of being able to get other players who could round out their line up, but this is a topic to open debates and that I would love, I would like to know the opinions of our founder @fermionico, @epirela22, @tonyes and all analysts who can give their input on this topic, thanks to all in advance.
