Building a FPV Drone Park on Run-A-Muck Farms
What's the point of being blessed with such an awesome piece of land if I can't share it with my friends! So we are building a FPV drone park here on @run-a-muck-farms! This is one of the best communities I have ever been involved with, sorry crypto fam, but it is. What is awesome is that people aren't just in it for themselves, they want to better the community and help it grow! All of the materials were donated and the labor was all volunteers!
My job was working on clearing the land, cutting grass, and trimming some trees. Luckily I had one of the volunteers show up like 3 hours early and helped me get a bunch of the big branches down before the rest got there.
Things started coming together faster than I thought. The boys got to work on cutting up corrugated drainage pipes into big hoops and hanging from the trees in different places for some great obstacles. Myself, I am still a bit nervous to do stuff like that with a larger quad like a 5 inch, and even my 2.5 inch cinewhoop. But I ordered a tiny whoop today that I am going to use to get really good here, lol.
We put up one really cool obstacle that has a place for a banner, so that is going to get designed and ordered in the next week or so. We named the park the Dirty South FPV Park at Run-A-Muck Farms. I already have my farm logo and getting a sign made for the road, so I'll get one made up for this spot as well!
The tire-angle was a heavy pain in the back, lol. But it's super cool. A new community member donated the tires and was one of the main ones helping. He got the idea to paint the one tire orange to basiclly warn you of death by tree on the other side, haha.
This was just day one with a few of the Dirty South Bandhoes! We have even more materials lined up to come down and get set up in a couple of weeks when we have another community work day.
Once we get this built up and the family sees what I am doing around here, I am going to work on getting ahold of some of the other parts of the property to do some large events, but this is going to be an awesome place to start!
Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with the skies my dudes!

That looks like it will be some tremendous fun! I'm sure the BBQ requests will follow!
Yeah, I am excited for sure!
What's really cool too is that my buddy is submitting my property to the FAA for a FRIA request! So my homestead will be a free fly zone that will be marked on the sectional maps! No remote ID or 107 required, although I don't require that anyway, and if any idiot from the FAA shows up on my private property, they had better show up with more cops than I have guns, lol.
Sweet, although having it on map may result in surprise visitors. Still sounds pretty cool though.
I have been thinking about that, but the FPV community for the most part is pretty chill and respectable. I have already been laying down the laws of MY land, lol.
But as far as having the land listed as a FRIA, it's more to appease the FAA and to also divert air traffic from around my property. We are in MOAS and it would be nice to not have Chinooks fly over my house every few days for mountain training...
Very cool build for flying those drones. It should be a lot of fun to see how it comes out and see which person goes through the orange tire anyway! lol
I am going to do it when I get my tiny whoop drone, but not with any of my current ones, lol.
