Full-speed rehearsals for the performance in Belo Horizonte

This week kicked off full-on with the SESC choir! And it looks like the next two weeks are going to be just as intense. We’re entering a super busy rehearsal period because a very special performance is coming up: a showcase in Belo Horizonte, the capital of the state where I live.

And the good news is that 8 students from our unit were selected to perform – and guess what? I’m one of them! I was super happy, of course, but I also got those butterflies in my stomach. It’s an amazing opportunity to show what we’ve been preparing, and at the same time, it’s a huge responsibility because we want everything to be perfect.

The theme of our show is territoriality, and since the first rehearsal, we’ve realized there’s a lot to get aligned: music, choreography, the dynamics between voices, instruments… basically, every detail matters. The team is super dedicated, which makes everything even more motivating. We start the week and can already feel the fast pace with rehearsals, adjustments, and repetitions. But deep down, it’s that kind of tiredness that actually feels good.

Time is short, I won’t lie. There’s a lot to rehearse and every minute counts. But I know we’ll get there. The energy of the group is amazing, everyone collaborating, helping each other… and that makes a huge difference. I’m confident that when the day of the performance comes, we’ll be able to deliver a beautiful show, full of emotion and meaning. And I hope my memory holds up and I manage to remember all the lyrics. hahaha

Essa semana começou com tudo no coral do SESC! E pelo jeito vai continuar assim pelas próximas duas semanas também. Estamos entrando num período super intenso de ensaios porque vem aí uma apresentação muito especial: uma mostra em Belo Horizonte, na capital do Estado onde moro.

E a notícia boa é que 8 alunos da nossa unidade foram selecionados pra se apresentar – e adivinha? Eu fui uma delas! Fiquei super feliz, claro, mas também bateu aquele friozinho na barriga. É uma oportunidade incrível de mostrar o que a gente vem preparando, e ao mesmo tempo, é uma responsabilidade enorme porque queremos que tudo saia perfeito.

O tema do nosso espetáculo é territorialidade, e desde o começo dos ensaios a gente já percebeu que tem muito pra alinhar: músicas, coreografias, dinâmica entre vozes, instrumentos… enfim, cada detalhe importa. A equipe tá dedicada e isso deixa tudo mais motivador. A gente começa a semana e já sente o ritmo acelerado com ensaios, ajustes, repetições. Mas, no fundo, é um cansaço gostoso.

O tempo tá curto, não vou mentir. Tem muita coisa pra ensaiar e cada minuto conta. Mas sei que vamos conseguir chegar lá. A energia do grupo é ótima, todo mundo colaborando, se ajudando… e isso faz uma diferença enorme. Eu tô confiante de que, quando o dia da apresentação chegar, vamos conseguir entregar um espetáculo bonito, cheio de emoção e significado. E espero que minha memória me ajude e eu consiga decorar as letras. hahaha
