There was a time not long ago when the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem offered seemingly endless ways to invest, leverage, and grow assets. In the last few years, however, and especially as of late in our present extremely challenging Hive economic conditions, so many projects, tokens, and sources of income, have come to an end. This economic and investment erosion has made it necessary, both on my own account, and for the We Are Alive Tribe, to basically constantly be adapting, improvising, and overcoming, in the face of an apparently never-ending parade of new challenges.
At the beginning of the year, the We Are Alive Tribe had a surplus of weekly HIVE income, and now we're in a deficit each week, which is quite a bugger, because that's how we fund the HIVE payouts to ALIVE holders and stakers, and how we pay our HP delegators. The situation is not critical yet, as we still have a good chunk of HIVE in reserve, but it's decreasing each week, so my primary focus is to create and grow other sources of HIVE income to compensate, and to ensure that our community is not dependent upon only one project for an essential component of our daily and weekly functioning.
I've been focusing on the DAB-DBOND-RUG trio, as the long-term compounding benefits are excellent, but getting our holdings and stake of those tokens to levels where our HIVE income from that source (from liquid DAB) could actually replace its counterpart from our large BEE delegation, will take a fair amount of time, or quite large investments into those tokens. There is also a challenge with availability, as there are often not large quantities of them available on the market. That's why I'm trying to get things compounding as efficiently as I can.
Since growing our holding of DAB, DBOND, and RUG to sufficient levels will indeed take quite a bit of time, I'm still looking for other good tokens that provide a fair income of HIVE, to help out a bit. There are a lot fewer of them now from which to choose, I'll definitely say that, though there are thankfully still some solid tokens and projects. Presently I'm looking into and hashing numbers for DUO, EDSI, PAKX, PIMP, SPI, and VOCUP. Some of these pay out HIVE daily, some weekly, and one of them only pays out monthly, so that must also be taken into account in my assessment.
I don't plan to focus on just one of the above tokens, but rather on acquiring useful quantities of each that complement each other's HIVE income, to better diversify our investments across projects. Once I can get our HIVE income back into the green again, and to a place where I don't have to worry about it for a while, then I'll focus more on building and growing other important areas of our decentralized community economy and financial infrastructure, but for the moment, it's all about growing our HIVE income.
Yesterday, Wednesday, after finishing up with my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, I prepared for a session that was scheduled for 1:30PM. The session start slightly late, it went very well, and we wrapped it up by about 6PM, after which I headed to the Landing to make myself some food (spiced-and-seasoned ground beef, eggs, onions, tomatoes, cilantro leaves, longevity spinach leaves, pepperjack cheese, olive oil, and sea salt), and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, I returned to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got everything done by a bit after 10:30PM, and after some asset management, I went to bed, a bit too late, by just after 12AM. I woke up just before 7AM, having slept reasonably well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then heading back to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1:15PM, so it's quite a good time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, and then on community/land work. 2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

Maybe there would be a Hive funding proposal where (some of) the HBD on the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) will be used to increase the price of the HIVE token (through several ways such as buying and burning HIVE tokens), though that idea seems !WILD at the moment without more detailed planning and analysis. 💸🤯😅

I remember @savvytester asking me to remove my votes on most Hive Proposals about 2 days ago, that I forgot until I saw your reply to their comment on #HiveEngage. 🤯
I still like to use the #Ecency frontend despite all its technical problems, but the ~400 HBD being asked per day and still no major bug fixes (and new bugs appearing roughly every month) seems high enough, especially with the price of the HIVE token being near its all-time low (ATL). 💸 The same goes with #PeakD and other popular Hive frontends, and projects such as #HiveKeychain and #HiveBuzz. 🤯 PeakD and Hive Keychain are good Hive apps, but each separately asking for at least 600 HBD seems a lot. 💸 We (including @savvytester) have been talking about good Hive apps deserving funding after they become available for public use and are FOSS. 🧘♂️ A Hive app that finally releases an updated FOSS reproducible build (for Android and Linux) however would make me vote again for their proposal even if they ask for a lot of funding in return. 😎
I literally just removed my votes on all Hive Proposals, except the Return Proposal and the other Proposal you mentioned which will burn 10,000 HBD every 3 days by sending them all to the null account if passed. 🤔 I would still try to keep my Hive Witness Votes at 30, with priority for those below the Top 20. 😏
There might be another (very) !WILD proposal (soon) in the future, which when passed will literally empty all the HBD in the DHF in just a day. 🤯🤓 A less "wild" proposal would be what @savvytester mentioned on the parent comment on your reply there, which is to use the DHF to buy and burn HBD after careful planning. 😏

Part of the reason is that I don't want to make it any harder than it is for projects to get funded, but the projects should also not ask for ridiculous amounts of funding, and they need to be bloody verbose in how they're using it, and the timelines involved. Yep, it's not great at the moment, and yes, it started at 20%. If it gets to 30%, then HBD in savings will stop earning interest, and HBD will lose peg with the US Dollar. There are some good posts about it.
Well, I've been involved in one way or another in a whole lot of projects on Hive, and their tokens, that are now gone. I've mentioned various ones in these daily posts, but there have sadly been many, one of the more recent being what happened with the BRO/LGN project. Thank you, Kenny, I appreciate that, and I'm still working on it for some of them!

Personally if people need to receive less Hive that is just the way it is to be honest bro the second layer tokens are doing better.
It is why i am going to peg HEARTBEAT in the different ways, the vault,litecoin,bitcoin as well as gold and silver.
It means nothing if it completely dependent on one course.
Look at a millionaire or billionaire, not one has all their resources in one thing they spread that energy around that way a loss or drop is not a devistating end.
Hive is currently badly managed and abused that is why the price is always dropping to more valueless amounts.
It is very sad, steem blockchain all over again but slightly different as there are now multiple bandits in the fray.

I appreciate that, @benthomaswwd, and that may be necessary at some point, but I'm doing what I can to avoid that, so as not to damage the market price of ALIVE. Yes, several layer-2 tokens are doing quite well. That's very good regarding HEARTBEAT's peg and backing, and I want to implement that for ALIVE as well. I agree, we can't be dependent on only one of anything. I've diversified my assets over time, and now I want to do that as much as I'm able for the We Are Alive Tribe too.
