Eid Through Ups and Downs: 'Eid Blessings' Artwork!

Health Struggles During Ramadan

As Ramadan neared its end with Eid just around the corner, I found myself heading to the doctor on the second last day. I’d been sick throughout the entire month: sometimes one thing, sometimes another. Hoping to enjoy a smooth Eid, I decided to get medical help. The doctor gave me an injection and some medications, but as soon as I took them, my condition took a turn for the worse. That night, despite the heat, I shivered so much that I slept under a blanket.

Missing the Last Fast

Because of this, I couldn’t keep the last fast, which left me feeling pretty downhearted.

Creating Artwork Amidst Illness

Even though I was unwell, I pushed myself on Chand Raat (the night before Eid) to create artwork for Creative Sunday, intending to post it. I did what I could in my condition. But when Sunday rolled around, my health worsened, and I couldn’t find the energy to write the post.

Beach Outing and Health Scare

On the second day of Eid, I started feeling a bit better and seized the chance to join seven others for a trip to Clifton Beach.

We’d barely arrived when an intense chill gripped my shoulders and arms. Determined not to spoil the picnic, I kept to myself for an hour or two, hiding my discomfort as long as possible. When the cold and pain became unbearable, I told my cousin, and we soon headed home. I felt a sense of guilt. I knew I was sick and should’ve been more cautious, but the Eid spirit had me convinced I was fine. I worried I’d forced everyone to leave early, though maybe they’d only planned a short stay anyway. Once I settled into the car, the chill vanished, probably because the sea breeze no longer reached me. I suspect the heavy dose of medications was making my body overreact.

Reflections

Despite the ups and downs, my Eid turned out well overall. On the third day, we visited my aunt’s house and had a blast there. I’d love to hear from you: Have you ever fallen ill during fasting or an important festival? Share your experiences in the comments below. I’m excited to read them!

(Edited)

basically it's a celebration day that's celebrated on a fixed date each year based on the lunar year, there are 2: one for celebrating the end of the fasting month & the other is for celebrating the day where god saved Ishmael the son of Abraham

Thanks for your blessings. I don’t know how it all began with a simple skin infection that slowly turned into all sorts of illnesses.
