Hello, Ladies ☺️

We've been planning our family vacation for a long time. My husband and I wanted it to be something the kids would enjoy, so we dreamed of it here in Havana, our hometown.

Vacations are the perfect time to strengthen family ties, improve our communication, and create lifelong memories.
But they're also a time to reward the good work they've done throughout the school year. They both passed their subjects with 100 points, in the vast majority of cases.
Therefore, they deserve a dream vacation.

This vacation is part of a larger plan, which consists of showing our children our entire country. Little by little, we've taken them through several provinces, showing them the most significant sights in each one.
So now we're taking them to the Zoo, Almendares Park, Old Havana, and today we'll visit the National Aquarium.
We also want them to do things they haven't done before, such as shooting at a shooting range, mini-golf, riding paddleboats, touching a dolphin 🐬, etc.

There's always something that surprises us, and this time it was discovering my children's love of the sunset.
Every day they spend more than an hour watching the sunset's display of colors. They've photographed it, almost documented it, during these four days in the capital.

One of the pending tasks, and one of the most important for me, was to take them to Maestro Jesús Ortega's house so they could greet him and play for him.
The fact that my Maestro heard my children play the guitar means a lot to me. When they grow up, they too will be able to see the value that this fact has for them.
If they could play the guitar in front of Jesús Ortega, they can do it in front of anyone else.

A visit to the zoo was also on our plans. I think Abel was the most excited about seeing the lions, as he thought the kids hadn't seen them.
But they had.

However, for them, the visit to the zoo was a great experience, and they enjoyed it immensely. In fact, the lion was one of the things that caught their attention the most.
No matter how many times you've seen it, it's always impressive to see these imposing felines up close.

So every day we check off a box in our dream of introducing our children to our country.
Here we have a slogan that says: Get to know Cuba first, then abroad.
They're not yet old enough to travel alone, but by the time they can and have their children, they'll already know the whole country and tell them:
My mom brought me here when we were little...
And with that alone, I'm the happiest woman in the world.

Hola, Chicas ☺️

Desde hace mucho tiempo hemos estado planificando nuestras vacaciones en familia. Mi esposo y yo queríamos que fuera algo que les gustara a los niños, por lo que soñamos que fuera aquí en La Habana, nuestra ciudad natal.

Las vacaciones son el momento ideal para reforzar vínculos familiares, para mejorar nuestra comunicación, crear recuerdosbpara toda la vida.
Pero también para premiar el buen trabajo que realizaron durante todo un año lectivo. Ambos aprobaron sus asignaturas con notas de 100 puntos, en la gran mayoría de los casos.
Por tanto, se merecen unas vacaciones de ensueño.

Estas vacaciones son parte de un plan mayor, que consiste en mostrarle todo nuestro país a nuestros hijos. Poco a poco los hemos pasado por varias provincias, mostrándoles lo más significativo de cada una.
Aí que ahora los llevamos a conocer el Zoológico, el Parque Almendares, la Habana Vieja y hoy tocará el Acuario Nacional.
También queremos que hagan cosas que no han hecho con anterioridad, como el disparo en campo de tiro, el mini golf, montar botes de remo, tocar a un delfín 🐬, etc.

Siempre hay algo que nos sorprende, y en esta ocasión fue descubrir el placer de mis hijos por el ocaso.
Cada día se pasan más de una hora observando el despliegue de colores de la puesta del sol. La han fotografiado, casi que documentado en estos 4 días de estancia en la capital.

Una de las tareas pendientes y de las más importantes para mí, era llevarlos a casa de Maestro Jesús Ortega, para que lo saludaran y tocaran para él.
El hecho de que mi Maestro haya escuchado tocar la guitarra a mis hijos, significa mucho para mí. Cuando ellos crezcan, también podrán ver el valor que ese hecho tiene para ellos.
Si pudieron tocar la guitarra delante de Jesús Ortega, lo pueden hacer delante de cualquier otra persona.

La visita al zoológico también estaba en nuestros planes. Creo que el más emocionado con la idea de ver los leones era Abel, pues creía que los niños no lo habían visto.
Pero sí.

Sin embargo, para ellos la visita al zoológico fue una gran experiencia y lo disfrutaron enormemente. Incluso, el león fue de lo que más les llamó la atención.
No importa la cantidad de veces que lo hayas visto, siempre es impresionante ver tan de cerca a estos imponentes felinos.

Así que cada día vamos marcando una casilla en nuestro sueño de darles a conocer nuestro país a nuestros hijos.
Aquí tenemos un slogan que dice: Conoce a Cuba primero y al extranjero después.
Todavía no tienen edad para que viajen solos, pero, para cuando puedan y tengan a sus hijos, ya conocerán todo el país y les dirán:
Mi mamá me trajo a aquí cuando éramos pequeños...
Y solo con eso, soy la mujer más feliz del mundo.
