My she goat and her twin kids!.
Hello Hive,
It's so fulfilling when someone gets committed and so serious, intentionally doing those things or just that one particular thing he or she loves doing in life. It's like a part of your perspectives and personality.
The she goat and the he goat, her husband.
My goats in their ban feeding on the grasses.
Some times your likes may be versatile, meaning, that you can just see yourself liking more activities than just one aspect of life. Yeah... It's nice, one can go ahead and be multitasking provided the reward for you is satisfactorily okay, and they're assisting you to sort out some life's events you find yourself into......
It gives joy unspeakable. I love animal husbandry, to be precised, GOATS!
When you discover your inner joy and connect yourself to the very task. It's fulfilling. For me, at my teenage years and age, i have loved keeping and rearing 🐐 goats. Moreover, the kid goats, at that young tender stage of their lives, i love how they jump up and run up and down in the environment, and how they behave persistently refusing being caught as you are trying to catch them up 😂😂.
They will dribble you until you may nearly fall down, or keep playing with them. I just like goats...... They make me laugh and laugh again.
This attraction started when i lived with my grandma. She had so many goats in the pen, as we always go to farms, most times, we will cut bunches of their edible grass types carried such grasses home, tie them at their feeding ropes. You will now see them surrounding such grasses and will be munching the grasses getting fatter and happier, bearing more kid goats, all of them totally doing very well.
It's a very long memory to me.
My interest about goats and their kids rose up again few years now when one of my relatives kept one female goat under my custody i now built a large and futuristic ban for her then she started bearing kid goats, she most of the times bear twin kids.
We dacided on a sharing formula, of which he takes one and i will take one as my wages for raising the goats in my premises, feeding them with their choice grasses daily, i hired an elderly man that cuts their choice grasses for me, twice a week and i pay him. I also clean their ban twice in a week.
At a certain point, he took up his own shares of some goats and left. I started raising my own shares, come and see how many they've become, some years now.
Though one among the female goats in the ban now is a gift from my mother.
I have been raising and keeping these goats. Last year, she delivered a twin kid goats but unfortunately she refused breastfeeding them. We know, that every mamal breastfeeds, so why has she refused to perform her mamal duties.??. Was the full thoughts in my heart all through that period.
This is the cowbell satchet milk i mixed and have been giving them in place of breast milk.
I was asking people around if they're any alternative to breast milk for goats, but there was no tangible answer, i was emotionally scared to buy milk and feed them. I kept thinking and believing she can change her mind to feed them. After some days i could not compose my mind to feeding them with human satchets of milk from the market.
Then, these two healthy kid goats later died. I was really pained. That was her first delivery and their colours were beautiful and stunning, but they died. I have kept on remembering them and feeling bad about their death. How i wish they survived....
This year again she has delivered another twin kid goats and still refused to breastfeed them, but before now, i decided to buy feeding bottles and some dry satches of cowbell milk waiting for her delivery. For a week now, she has delivered another twin kid goats and started that same refusal for breastfeeding.
I have been making dry cowbell milk with hot water allow it to cool down, then will start forcing them to drink which has been very difficult, though very helpful but they have always shut up their mouths very tight. I will then be forcing them to drink, but i have seen them drank this milk few times, they're looking robust, strong and better than the first week of their lives.
I'm so glad they're alive and are kicking, growing and playing around....it gives me joy, i have wone they didn't die again.!!🥰😂
Do you know what??, today after feeding them with milk, I took them in to their mother, watching them then saw that she has started allowing the kid goats to suck breast.
These kids showed serious joy as they were sucking and wagging their tails as a sign of joy, fulfillment and peace, i was very happy and as well relieved because of that her breast feeding refusal, i have been spending some money buying dry satchets of cowbell milk, spending time to feed them to avoid them starving or probably dying.
I used to get their grasses by myself, someone does that for me now.
Preparing goats' food.
Thank you immensely for your time reading through my blog, We all are in this together. You are the best, keep it up.
All pictures are mine.
Wao I'm admiringly fascinated by your passion in rearing and raising goats.
What an interesting read.
The pains of feeding kids goat with artificial milk is mind-blowing.
But why would the mother goat refuse to feed her young? Surprising indeed
I commend your consistency and passion in feeding these goats especially the kids
I believe God saw your heart and touched the mother goat to start allowing them suck her breast milk naturally as nature demands. Lol 😂😆
I really enjoyed reading this post and have learnt a lot.
Congratulations on your animal farming
Haha hahaha 😂, na so I see am oooooh.
You know they say,
"Necessity is the Mother of invention".
She had twin kids last year, they died for this same reason, people advised me to sell it out at once, but I decided to give her another chance,
Now this year again, so I decided to try this human milk method,
after all goats eat what the humans eat, I'm glad it has worked,
that's why I opened it up to everyone,so that others as well can try!

This is appreciated by me, sir/ma,

Omo the deaths of those goats was as if it was human being that died to me 😢😃as I read through. Which kind mammal is this goat that is behaving this wicked 🤔, I Just hope this twins will survive theirs with this feeding strategy you are using now . You are really doing well ma , Weldon.
Thank you so much, you are really feeling bad the very way I felt then.
I believe it may change with time.
You love animals, these goats are beautiful. How you feed them, I appreciate people like that.
Thank you so very much, that inspiration was borne out of despiration of what had happened before now.
I thank God it worked!!
What an interesting story and reading through! I've never paid attention to goats but reading your story aroused my interest😀.
Goats can be very funny and stubborn and it takes a great deal of patience to nurture them. Especially in this case where the mother goat refused to breastfeed them.
Honestly the part where both kids died touched me. Thanks goodness the story is different now. Your love for rearing them made you persevere and it paid off.
Wishing you the very best in your area of interest.
Have a great day.
Wow oooo, thanks for your supportive words,
I just imagined that cowbell sachet milk can be closer to their mother's breast milk, that was why I used it and now it worked.
They are looking very healthy now, that's my major reason blogging it, so that anyone can apply same method if found in the same dilemma,
thank you sis, have a blessed day.
That's so thoughtful of you.
You're most welcome.
It's my pleasure.
Should I say you one of the best farmers ever seen in this platform! No lies like you don't play around when it comes to your business for real you just keep giving us back to back 🔥 contents by your garden and everything else and that's really nice to know. I know how painful it was when you lost those two kid goats but definitely got it back double and now the she goat rejecting to feed them maybe she knew that the other ones were going to die that's why she didn't had the chance to feed them but I'm really happy though that you got everything you want it and it's great to see that's everything is going in place for your farming and also your animal caring. I wish you all the best for what is ahead and great success in everything that comes your way 😁✌️
Wow oooo, wow oooo, you are too much, thanking you wonderfully well for such a powerful comment 👏👏, thank you again.
