Hive Powerball Lottery

If you don´t know what is Magi Network and it relation with Hive I will give you a short sum. Magi is a crosschain protocol that supports smart contracts and use a resource credit model generated by HBD holdings on the network.

But what I am talking about this first? Because is in Magi where is build Okinoko Takara. A smart contract made by @tibfox that allow anyone to create or join custom lotteries. All is stored on-chain so there is no hidden rules to trick the game.

Here is when it comes the idea of a Hive Powerball. The initial idea was get on yearly lottery, but because the lotteries duration it’s limited to 90 days we will have 4 rounds per year.

Each ticket will cost 0.1 HIVE and you can buy many as you can.

20% of all funds will be burned and the remaining balance will be the pool prize that will be distributed in the following split:

• 60% Powerball winner
• 20% Golden winner
• 10% Silver winner
• 5% Two Bronze winners

How to log in okinoko.io to participate?

1. Connect your Hive account with HiveAuth or Keychain (if you are in a smartphone use the internal browser of keychain).
2. Deposit some Hive.
3. Select Okinoko Takara and search for Hive Powerball.
4. Buy all the tickets that you want.

It is fun, simple and cheap participate in the Hive Powerball.

PS: with the example of @reward.app or @commentrewarder created by @acidyo and @hivetrending I wonder if will be possible a service where people can put it as beneficiary and that buy tickets for the Hive Powerball for them. In this case I can lowered the ticket prize to 0.001 Hive that way fractional rewards still get tickets.
