Indeed, the power distribution on Hive is massively lopsided, especially if multiple of those accounts do belong to one individual. ๐๐๐โจ๐ค

I wonder which among a hard "split" fork or a new blockchain is less worse when it comes to fixing the problems on the blockchain !INDEED. ๐งโโ๏ธ๐คฏ

I've actually been thinking about that recently...the idea of forking the chain to fix its glaring issues. ๐๐๐โจ๐ค

Many people around Hive (especially those with significant amounts of Hive Power) would be split between two - those who support and those who are against - when a fork of Hive occurs. ๐คฏ There would also be people who will continue publishing posts and comments on both blockchains, though some of those who are against the fork would likely target them by flagging their content on the "new legacy" chain !INDEED. ๐คฏ

Yeah, it's far from a preferable option, and for quite a few reasons, but it may be how the chain survives, and maybe perhaps thrives. ๐๐๐โจ๐ค

I would highly prefer the flag or negative vote option be removed !INDEED, just in case any fork occurs. ๐ค
Perhaps a fork would not necessarily exist, but rather a new social blockchain with only the "good" parts of Hive. ๐งโโ๏ธ

I'm not crazy about how the downvote feature has been used, so I tend to agree, or if it were to be kept, its use should be more strongly constrained as to how it can be used.
Qortal is coming alone pretty well, and QORT is also doing much better than HIVE is. Blurt is chugging along nicely too. ๐๐๐โจ๐ค
