I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Well, my friends, it happened, we crossed the Hive soft debt limit of 20% yesterday, which means that the first stage of the haircut rule has gone into effect. You may have noticed that HBD has disappeared from post rewards, being replaced instead with liquid HIVE. Yeah, that's one of the first effects, though if the Hive Debt keeps rising as it's been, other more substantial ones will soon follow.

If the Hive Debt reaches the hard limit of 30%, then HBD in savings will stop earning interest, and it will lose peg with the US Dollar. As it goes further past 30%, the fiat-dollar value of HBD will continue to fall. Historically, this has happened a few times before, the longest duration of which lasted for about 6 months, with HBD reaching an all-time low of about $0.50. The Hive Debt hard limit has been raised a few times since then, so we're actually in quite uncharted territory.

Past a 30% Hive Debt, HBD will become far less useful, and will lose most of its investment viability, until the Hive Debt drops below the hard limit once again. Since we're still just past the soft limit of 20%, we're still within a feasible period of decision about what to do with our HBD. Converting or swapping it for HIVE would be useful at this time, though that should be done before the Hive Debt reaches 30%, otherwise HBD will no longer be work one US Dollar. The other option is basically to just forget about HBD for the time being as a focus of investment, until its economic condition improves.

If the interest for HBD in savings does stop, most people will likely withdraw their HBD from savings, to either power up, or to sell. I'm still deciding what I'll do. Unleveraged assets annoy me, but it's also taken me 4+ years to get my HBD in savings to the level that it is now, so it's not an easy choice to have to make.

The one positive in this present situation is that our HIVE income will increase, which will help to compensate for the general notable drop in HIVE income from various sources. For the We Are Alive Tribe, this would be a very good thing, because it will help lower our current weekly HIVE deficit, which is very much needed at this time. I'm still very concerned for the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem, but I still love it, and I'll continue building, growing, assisting, collaborating, and leverging and growing assets, the best that I'm able, both for me, and for all of you.

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, a bit before I was finished with my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, to go help lift and move some large pieces of glass and granite countertops in the new kitchen area behind shop. Once that was completed, I headed back to the Flow House to finish the rest of my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, leaving again soon after, around 3:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. With post photography done, I got my machete and I did another round of clearing behind the Bali Hut. After getting another good swath cleared, I took a shower, made myself some food (mini spiced-and-seasoned beef burgers, on olive-oil-toasted sourdough, with pepperjack cheese, and Dijon mustard) in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, I returned to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got everything done by just before 10PM, and after some asset management, I went to bed by around 10:45PM. I woke up a bit after 7AM, having slept well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then heading back to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:45PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. 2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
