Claude is nice. But have you tried any local coding based LLMs like Qwen3-coder? Whole other level.

There’s another one worth looking at called Context7 which you can find here - https://github.com/upstash/context7

Not a local LLM mind you.

Noted Qwen3-coder for future research.

I'm about to be going all local when my new dedicated LLM Mac Mini M4 Pro 64GB unified memory comes in next week!

I’ve got one of those machines myself and it kicks ass. I’ve yet to do anything hardcore with it though. Mind you I could utilise it better in conjunction with my company laptop which is a fairly standard Dell. Hmmm. Cool thoughts.

Yeah, I am planning to get a beefy Macbook pro in the future that I can actually cluster with it if I need the big models.

Oh I am going to use it for everything I can get out of it, lol. Gonna build all the stuff, lol.

But not for Hive, I am done building for this place, lol. Spent too many years and too much money to get really nothing out of it but headaches.

Not to any degree. As a writer, I've never been focused on huge computing capacity. I was happy with a computer that allowed me to do research, write, and do basic things like that. So, my processor isn't strong enough. Now that I know what these programs are capable of, I do have plans to upgrade my system and implement my own local LLM. I have other priorities that come first, however. :-)

oh absolutely. I made it apart of my business build so it became a priority pretty quick, lol. But I get that. I have a MacBook Air that I had been perfectly happy with until I started messing with local LLM. Had to upgrade big time, 🤣
