Center Village FPV Freestyle Shenanigans at Castle Crash 2025

The Center Village flight line at Castle Crash is a bit of a smaller flight area which makes it a challenge to fly with larger drones, but has a bunch of things to work with. I took my Speedybee Bee25 Cinewhoop, which is more of a basher whoop to me, haha, and ripped a few packs through this course.

This place is mainly used throughout the year for medieval festivals and such, so it's supposed to look old, lol, so we found all kinds of random stuff to use for obstacles, haha.

Being one of the main DJs for the event, I was sticking close to the DJ tower which you get a small view of as I flew threw it!

Nothing special, just having a good time and ending with a little whoopsy!

Until next time...

Be cool, be real, and always abide with the skies!

Oh man I have always wanted to get into FPV drones as I always had something remote controlled growing up! Is there an entry level FPV kit I should get?

You can look into a kit like this or look into the EMax or BetaFPV bundles. Tiny whoops are small and easy to learn to fly and won't break anything or hurt anyone, lol. That's pretty important when learning. I would recommend though buying your stuff separate. Get into a radio like the Radiomaster Pocket or Zorro to start. Then get into a pair of goggles, something like the HDZero box goggles are a great way to go because it gives you the option for both analog and digital. Then you look into something like the BetaFPV Air75 or Meteor75. This way you are getting better stuff than those starter bundles.

The best place to really start is going to be in the simulators. Get the radio first, then look at something like Liftoff on Steam for $20 and get some major hours in the sims and get comfortable, then save up and get your goggles and your drone.

Also find a local group of FPV pilots. FPV is much better with friends!
