Hive vs Steemit ||Back to History

Hello Hive, members and communities there is one of the saying about history by Martin Luther King Jr.
"We are not makers of history. We are made by history."
It's an important tools for us in our daily development and process. Due this quote seem to be ironic but seem truly.
I was browsing about #hive to know about it's foundation and how it's started, because that should be the foundation for anyone that wants to build or connect to any organization.

Even when you preparing to start anything be it, business, education, or career development, historical aspects of such investment is very paramount to consider first.
I have been in hive for few months, and I have seen a lot and so alot have haven to me, but I enjoyed every bit of the whole experience and meeting different people to connect, those the accepted and those that rejected, it's all good experience to take home.
Since I joined hive I have been on reading and researching about different things on and about this ecosystem.
With my little contributions to support the system and the
truth remains I'm gaining and benefiting along with all the process here.
Thanks to the folks that created different platforms and communities to support the growth of #hive.

Back to my topic of the day about Hive and it's mother as I may call it, out of my findings, it's quite unfortunate that most #newbies like us came to join the platform without gaining historical knowledge about how it all started.
Out of my own findings I discovered the Hive blockchain was engine by different developers which in one way or the other has been contributing to the development and maintenance of the ecosystem in this blockchain technology.

What's this HIVE, is still a bigger question must people have asked and must newbies has not understood yet. Rather believe it's a social media platform where you come post and make money, while others thinks it's a platform to invest and cash out with lost of profit or can we say its for developers who is making money from their proposal, some people thinks it where you create community of people to vote or support your post.
This and that more are in the mind of different users on this #hive ecosystem.
I saw this post as I'm reading on this HIVE.

What is Hive and why was it created?

Hive is a DPOS governance blockchain created by implementing a hard fork of existing Steem code.

This might sound technical for non tech individuals, but that's where everything started from it's mother ecosystem Steemit Inc.

The intention of this community-driven fork is to support and build on the strong Steem community values that have made our ecosystem so diverse and exciting. This new direction steps away from the burden of the Steemit Inc. ninja-mined stake, which has impacted the long term ability to work towards further development and decentralization for years.

Hive has begun with a talented and committed team of community developers who are already paving the way to implement much awaited improvements and robust new developments to the blockchain. It is exciting to see the community – from devs and business owners to passionate end users – stepping forward to embrace and contribute to the potential of Hive. This renewed spirit, combined with a renewed codebase and a focus on working more closely with the entire ecosystem, is key to the success and possibilities for the future of social blockchain.

Now I discovered some of the first key players

We're a decentralized project, running on more than 37 people contributing regularly to the Hive Ecosystem.

This individual and others not mentioned on that post great impacts on hive blockchain, from Core developers, developers, block producter and marketers all working hard to make a good deal with their ecosystems and communities.
I also discovered some might not be working together in some aspects of decision-making and applications of ideas and different views to work on but independently contribute to Hive blockchain ecosystem.

What is the difference between Hive and Steem?

Hive is a fork of the Steem blockchain and runs completely independently from the existing chain. All valid accounts on the Steem blockchain will receive an airldrop on Hive. (more details below)

VS

While the Hive chain is a fork of the Steem code, the intention is to take responsibility to build something even better. The initial Hive launch will be a direct copy of existing blockchain with a few small upgrades, which will allow us to get back to community discussion on the direction for future development, needed changes, and most wanted chain-level features.

What happened to the Steemit ecosystem?
@ned the CEO of Steemit Inc

structural reorganization which I believe is important to share with the community. Steemit Inc., is a private company that runs the open-source steemit.com, a decentralized app on the Steem blockchain. Steemit Inc., also uses some of its resources and engineers to contribute code updates to the Steem blockchain. In addition, we provide APIs to third party developers at our own expense to help grow the developer ecosystem....

This where the whole new project that gave birth to #Hive started.

You want the real story behind the hardfork drama? Here it is:

In a faraway realm, once upon a time, dwelt two master coders, wizards of their craft, who breathed such life into their code that it birthed a swift and sprightly blockchain, christened Steem. Its marvel lay not only in its fleetness and clever design, but also in the hushed secrecy of its creation—no fanfare, no ringing bells, no grand proclamations. In a quiet chamber, only a handful of trusted souls knew of its existence. Thus, the masters mined heaps of pristine Steem afore others could follow suit. These sacks of unspoiled Steem were carefully tucked away, untouched, for the founders and their kin had other cares: to proclaim Steem’s name across the world, that many might join to mine, nurture, curate, craft wondrous applications, and scribe bountiful tales, so the value of Steem might flourish and their hoarded treasure grow in splendor.
Yet, after a fleeting soar to the heavens, Steem languished in a woeful shadow.
One master coder, grown weary, forsook Steem and wove a new, mightier blockchain, named Eos. But a curse befell it, and it fell under the sway of a small cabal of lords from the Land of the Rising Sun.
The other, Ned the Scot, stayed true to Steem but grew idle, no longer toiling as its ardent champion. Instead, he reaped harvests and indulged in minstrelsy and leisure.
Lo, from that same Land of the Rising Sun came a Coin-Prince, offering Ned a princely sum of true gold for the hoarded Steem. Bedazzled by the glimmer, Ned yielded, taking the riches and surrendering his sacks of untouched Steem to this dark prince—who, in his delusion, styled himself “Sun.” His designs were shrouded in mystery, but dire whispers spoke of Steem’s enslavement to another blockchain, Tron, fit only for vile pursuits—rumors of wicked games of chance and pyramid-like deceits.
This tidings roused Steem’s great whales, who had grown mighty and comfortable. Unwilling to be dethroned, they swiftly forged a fork in the blockchain, freezing Ned’s primal hoard so none, not even the new lord, could claim it. Enraged, the Coin-Prince wielded his dark arts, enchanting three grand marketplaces to serve him. With their vast Steem, they bound it to his will, granting him dominion over the blockchain’s fate. He bestowed slivers of power to chosen minions and lackeys, who, bereft of their own minds, served the “Sun” and his twisted fork—a cruel mockery of a blockchain’s noble spirit.
Undaunted, Steem’s ousted elders hatched a bold scheme: a Hard Fork, a complete sundering from Steem, copying all its tales and treasures to a new chain named Hive. Every Steem holder was to gain equal shares of Hive (though some were woefully overlooked, sparking great lament). Swiftly enacted, the plan bore no flaw in its code, and to all’s astonishment—and the Tron-Prince’s dismay—Hive blossomed. At markets near and far, Hive’s worth surpassed Steem’s, and those who joined it rejoiced. Its triumph drew scribes, blockchain-smiths, and Steem’s old guard to its fold, even luring the mightiest crypto-realm of all (ye know its name, a realm of monster-battles!). This struck a mortal blow to the new Steem-Lord and his paid thralls.
Oh, what wailing echoed in the Land of the Rising Sun! The “Sun”-Prince ceased pouring sacks of coin into Steem to outshine Hive, for even a mighty lord of wealth could not prevail against a united world.

And so, dear readers, this is why our beloved Hive bears a withered tendril called Steem in its storied past—a tale to remind ye of the power of fellowship.

Nice story line, it's summarize the whole story in a sweet movie tell, I think we should create a movie out of the story of hive and Steemit.

It's seems the movie is not out yet, this was produced last year 2024.
But the name sounds interesting and I hope the movie will be available soon.
