Palace of Mirrors in Chinniot [Shrine of Saeen Sukh]

I know the exact date when I will stayed the historical mirror Palace in Chinniot. Just a day before this trip, we decided to go on Chinniot Trip. I was motivated by Instagram videos that were sent to me by @mojiko-blog.

In just one day we decided to go to this city called Chinniot. It was really unbelievable until we secured our seats in bus.

We covered many destinations on this trip. I am just posting each destination with a new post because I cannot sum up every destination in just one post.

Today I am taking you to historical shrine that is not merely a shrine but called as sheesh mahal Palace of Mirrors.

On Google, we got an about this palace and we were a little aware and our cognitive environment accepted it as merely a palace. Once we reached there, we found that there is no such Palace and local people don't really know about any sheesh mahal in their city. It was really strange that how they don't know?
Somehow a person got a clue "where we wanted to go?"
He told us and guided us. I still remember he was becoming so generous that he was walking along with us to this shrine. We thanked him for being so kind and generous to us.
We walked down the streets and people were looking at us. I know, unintentionally we looked in the homes because homes were so up and down. It was crazy. The urban planning of the city was crazy and fascinating. It was different from the cities I have visited. Though I am local to Pakistan but Chinniot gave me real shock and craze to my mind.

Somehow we got into shrine and we found our destination. I always have felt this things that journey towards destination is always fascinating and we enjoy that process. But once we reach our destination it doesn't feel the same and we fancy that we should remain stuck in our process of journey. Similar thing happened when we reached Shrine. It wasn't the same as my mind made a picture in mental box. Well, this happens most of the times.

Final resting place of Sufi, as much as I heard, it is resting place of his wife

My eyes scanned intricate details on the motif of grave. These small details on the wooden work are identical to city local architecture and design.

Whether inside or outside the shrine, I could see intricate glass work everywhere, and it was certainly a moment of eye-pleasing.

The architecture of this Sheesh Mahal reflected three types of architecture. The blend of Islamic , Mughal and the local architecture of Chiniot are making and creating a new beautiful combination. These Arches and domes are signifying Islamic and Mughal architecture. The blend of wooden intricate work and details are advocating for Chinniot local architecture and designs. The local artisans paid so much attention and effort to make it such lovely and lively palace of contemporary period.

There is also a minaret in this shrine that is unusually high, and this unusual feature makes it different from the rest. Moreover, along with being tall, the glass work on it is very different and intricate. The eyes of the viewer will get tired, but he will not be able to see its intricate work in its entirety.

There were probably still many things to see and to do that we probably skipped due to lack of time. The second thing is that it was getting late and the sun was setting and it was a good time to leave. If we had been late, we might not have found our bus to go back, so we took the return route.

Back on those days I was putting on so much weight but now if I look at my body I am losing weight and I am happy with that. I am thankful to my friend who captured at least a few pictures of me.

I would love to add one more thing about the city that this particular city is not that much developed in terms of buildings belt it has so much uniqueness that is not being offered by any other city in Punjab.

I am really missing those all days when I went to visit and explorer Chinniot City, which is famous for furniture and wood. But, after visiting I got to know that there is much more than furniture in this city.

This place has a dome that is similar to a mosque. I like this building, it has very good size details.
