Is there still a buzz on Hive?
Hey buzzers! What's new?

We've been slothing here at Sloth.Buzz. Our bot never recovered from its last catastrophic failure. Hive Engine seems plagued with DDOS attacks, and Hive (Well, crypto as a whole) took a tank.
Where does that leave the buzz?
Sloth.Buzz was founded with the dream of uniting creators, giving a platform to the small fish and highlighting the best Hive (and crypto) had to offer. Things never really hit the buzz we thought it deserved. Our Dev eventually had to refocus priorities, and we were left at the mercy of Hive-Engine and the 'base' infrastructure here.
Now, credit where credit is due. The outpost/Hive-engine token and fundamentals 'work'. When they're not being affected by 'outside forces'. However, to build a community and really flourish, it requires more than that. More than one little sloth can do for himself, that's for sure.
So, where does that leave us? The token is still minting 6.9 per day as 'pob' rewards for content creation with the #slothbuzz tag. The website still hangs on, showing the excellent slothbuzz content. But...the real community drive is gone, the token trading is at a minimum, so we're not sure if there is a future...

So, I guess, the question is...is anyone still here?
Do we try to breathe some life back into the old buzz, or is it time to say goodbye, as many projects on Hive have done recently?
It's your last chance to have an opinion.
Can you help the sloth buzz?
Are you keen to see things continue?
Is it time for SlothBuzz to be added to the Hive-engine graveyard once and for all?
Have your say now, or forever hold your peace.

i'm here alright just the .buzz domain is being blocked by my DNS , because i use the HaGeZi's The World's Most Abused TLDs filter .
So i use another front end :)
Ah, that's interesting. I wonder if that may have limited us in some way. Something for us to consider, thanks.
I don't have the answer but I'll use the tag on my next post.
Why knows what the next bear market might bring.
Appreciated, sloth and steady wins the race and all that. We've had some awesome contributors over our time here. We just need to find the 'best' steps forward.
I want it to continue. I may be biased ,especially since you are using unicorns in your images :). !BBH !PIZZA !UNI
Thanks! It might make more sense for us to shift focus to simply supporting other like-minded projects such as Uni-coin. One Sloth can't do everything, unfortunately.
I hear you. One person is not enough.Taking care of yourself is also important. I'm around if you ever want to bounce some ideas or chat or whatever. !HUG !BBH !UNICOIN ❤️🦄

dcity was just killed and there are a lot of creators who just lost incredible curation support levels. maybe there is an opportunity here? do you offer any type of delegation rewards? Where can i read more about the project?
How was curation support affected? I had heard about Dcity shutting up shop, along with a few other projects on Hive. Of course, this opens more avenues for other communities to step up; however, I feel we're a little too slothful to make much of an impact.
there were ingame rewards for delegation and this HP was used to curate club members content of any kind but it was never guaranteed and everything was manually curated. I think it would be great if there were something similar that doesnt raise any red flags with the watchful eyes
Indeed, we tend to stay away from the 'delegation for curation' of any kind. We floated the idea a while back but it's highly frowned upon on Hive. We do manually curate all content using the '#Slothbuzz' tag with boosted $Slothbuzz rewards through Sloth.Buzz website. So we give a free boosted curation, no delegation needed.
Unfortunately, most users prefer a 'boosted' Hive curation instead of the Hive-engine token, but we strive to continue highlighting the best content on Hive! Maybe we'll look into some form of delegation service again soon. We'd need to really consider the overall Hive impact with such a move. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hive has fallen on hard times. Right now, I don't know how to get more activity on specific communities. If the price can recover, that will help. If we can stop the DHF from bleeding money, that will help.
I believe Hive can recover, but I'm biased. I will still be here working for the future of the coin, anyway.
It seems Hive has continued on the same downward projection for the last few years. Has it missed its chance to really buzz?
We're trying to work out the best next steps for a 'community'. As an individual Sloth, I reckon I will stick around. Hive can be a fun place to be if you ignore all the noise.
It might be more efficient to lump in our efforts with more established communities like Pimp/Bro/BBH or the newer UNI-coin.
Ever since I saw the website being the standard Hive template, I haven't used the frontend. I clicked the link in the announcement on Discord, but the site wasn't even available to me.
I think some restructure is required to get the sloth buzzing. Question is if it's worth it - I think it is, if the restructure is done correctly.
!BBH !DUO
You just got DUO from @caspermoeller89.
They have 1/1 DUO calls left.
Learn all about DUO here.
Yeah, we appreciate that the outpost template isn't the 'best' frontend for Hive users; heck, we tend to use other frontends for most of our commenting, since we get a wider range of posts. It's a nice place to track your SlothBuzz token earnings on posts, and allows our curator to get a quicker look at all the #slothbuzz content.
Currently, we have no developer who can build a better site, nor the funds to invest in that regard. We'll continue to look for ways to improve, but as one little sloth, it's a lot of work to keep growing a community, especially as Hive overall seems to be waning.
Thanks for your feedback, the buzz goes on!
Keep on Hiving!
The Hiving goes on! One Slothly buzz at a time! Thanks for the support!
Shouldn't matter much what any of the rest of us think, it's if you still have the motivation and ambition required to weather the proverbial storm.
You're right, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as we can continue putting one slothly foot in front of the other to keep the buzz alive!
We appriciate the responses all the same, shows there is still some buzz on Hive and it's worth clinging on to! Even if we're only a little sloth in the madness of Hive!
Yeah, there is still a buzz on Hive. I have not been buzzing around much on Hive for over a month now and that is ok. Cause I am a "one-of" operation where I have many roles to play.
I fully appreciate the reaching out for more interest and engagement from the Hive community. This has been a challenege for my own project and I am managing the best I can to keep all my token uses cases ideas alive.
Agree. I can relate. So lets us not forget to move a mountain we start with picking away at a few pebbles. Those few pebble movements must align with an overall objective and purpose. Once you have your pupose well defined then you can chip away at other pebbles.
I have been chipping away on Hive since March 2023, thinking/hoping that I would have more engagement in my use cases by this time but that is ok cause the #FUN has been in the process and not the destination. Hard to set realistic targets when you are not in complete control of all variables that can impact a project.
I am a "one-of" and I am glad that I am not alone. I don't know why that makes me feel better. !LOLZ
I am still here and happy to buy tokens people dump when I see a potential to sell at a future date for a profit. My spider sense says you are still motivated to raising the value of your token use case. And the fact that you are open to collaboration means a potential for some synergy going forward.
The last couple of months has been extremely busy for me offline. After some scammer on Hive stole from my project, I have had to make some design change in my project model to better focus on collaborating with Hivers I can trust and verify. Also, I have not been pleased with the performance of trading on Hive (Tribaldex/HE). I don't mean my performance. I mean the slow response of placing orders and seeing orders adjusted because the system didn't handle decimal number precision issues. And then there was the introduction of BEED token idea where traders pay a fee to trade. And then there is the cost of Hive tools and services paid via BEE tokens. Not to mention the abuse of power and infuence by Hivers that have a big wallet and figure their ideas are more valuable than a use case from a "one-of" operation.
I would think if you see value from your use case, you should continue to pick away as long as it aligns with your purpose for using Hive.
My mindset has shifted because of global market unknowns. The fact that USA tariffs are predatory to most countries and the "Orange Jesus" sees no value in Canada has caused me to cancel streaming services as well as hosting services from US companies. So sometimes we cut known losses to avoid greater unknown losses. So Hive platform still looks good to me regardless of the price of Hive. So we adjust strategies accordingly.
May Positive pepEntropy be with you.
