Twenty six years ago, Silvertop and Liz had just moved to the Northwest!
At the entrance to the Pacific Northwest Fair, sat a cashier with a large stack of crisp new two Dollar bills!😇
Admission was eight dollars for adults, and if you handed them a $10 bill, they handed you back a brand new two dollar bill!☺️
I believe I still have several of these two dollar bills Lol!🤣

Silvertop isn’t a country boy, I grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati!😇
“This is Dairy Cow country Silvertop, and apparently they have several County Fairs! A Threshing Bee is all about bringing in the hay for the animals!”🥰
If Tractors, or haying, or Cows, is at the top of your agenda, you will definitely be in seventh Heaven at the Fair!😊
Time marches on, and the Northwest Washington Fair has replaced the cashier at each entrance, with automated ATM style machines………..
Sad….. times are changing!🙄
Admissions has also changed, it’s now $15…….. Inflation my friends!😮
The only constant is the Dairy Cows!😇
Farmers still get up early every morning, including holidays, and return every evening for a second milking!
The Northwest Washington Fair has now added several indoor interactive theaters, to help educate the next generation about the importance of dairy farms!
“Liz …. Look how big that three Month old baby Cow is!”😳
The next Generation is already here my friends……….😇

Sad to think that in general, they take the babies away from the mama cow so the milk can be collected for humans. I know we like our milk (well, at least some of us do) but the mom is put to work as a producer and the baby grows as an orphan.
It's a way of like for so many here in the area, both cow and human!
