"Use my pen," said the elderly librarian Rahman Sahib in a calm voice. Aryan, a final year university student, felt as if the sky had fallen upon him. Tomorrow was the last day to submit the fee for his final exam, but he didn't have a single taka in his pocket. He had been repeatedly rejected from job interviews. As he rested his head on the table and was about to cry, Rahman Sahib handed him an old wooden fountain pen. Aryan asked in surprise, "What good will a pen do, uncle? I need money." Rahman Sahib smiled. "This pen has a strange power. Write on a piece of paper what you truly desire from your heart. But remember, you can only write your fate once with this pen. Don’t be greedy; write only what you really need." Aryan thought perhaps the old man was joking with him. However, in desperation, he took the pen. Upon returning to his hostel room, he opened a white diary. Pouring out all his wishes, he wrote: "May I arrange the money for tomorrow’s exam fee and get a good job."

The next morning, a miraculous event occurred. Aryan's phone screen lit up. More money than he needed had come into his bKash account. Along with it was a message—his distant uncle, who had been missing for many years, had sent this money after hearing about Aryan's struggles. At exactly 2 PM, Aryan received another call. The software company where he had interviewed last week offered him a job. His salary was also much more than he had expected. Aryan's joy knew no bounds. He realized that Rahman Sahib's pen was indeed magical. Within a month, Aryan’s life had completely changed. He now had money, respect, and a wonderful career.
But the human mind is very strange. Once the need was gone, greed took root in Aryan's heart. He thought, "What if I wish for something much bigger with this pen? A lot of money, a huge house?" Disobeying Rahman Sahib’s warning, Aryan took the pen in hand again. He wrote in the diary: "I want to be the richest person in the city." No sooner had he finished writing than blood-red ink began to flow from the pen’s nib instead of black. Suddenly, the entire diary caught fire. In fear, Aryan dropped the pen.
The next morning, Aryan went to the office to learn that his company had gone bankrupt and that the police were searching for him along with everyone else in the office on charges of fraud. At the same time, his bank account was frozen. In one night, he became a beggar on the streets again. Desperate, Aryan rushed to Rahman Sahib's library. Returning the pen to the table, he said, "I was wrong, uncle. Greed had blinded me." Rahman Sahib sighed as he picked up the pen. "Greed destroys a person, Aryan. This pen gave you an opportunity, but you wanted to force fate unjustly. Now you have to rebuild everything on your own merit."
Aryan understood his mistake. Without the help of the magical pen, he vowed to start the battle of life anew through his own hard work and honesty.
