My daughter was in a tizzy last evening, trying to decide whether or not to evacuate. She is only 1.6 miles from the Fairview fire, but it has been spreading in the opposite direction. The whole situation is quite distracting for me, even though I am not right there. I hope Silverwood isn't too stinky; the Spokane smoke has made the air at our house quite unpleasant.

It was not that bad, just rather cool considering. Most people in Boulder Beach were shivering when not in the water. The air got bad towards evening though. Thankfully the fires are mellowing now.
