It's wonderful that you still have your finger in the pie, as the saying goes. I, too, homeschooled my children, and perhaps I will still have a chance to help a little with a grandchild here and there. The first one was homeschooled for 2 years, then went to a private school. Her younger brother will start kindergarten at home this year. He's so busy, I can't imagine him sitting still for 5 minutes. Due to family circumstances, his cousin has been in daycare/preschool and will likely have to attend public school next fall. I live too far away to help all the time. I think I would enjoy teaching at a co-op, but am completely out of touch with the local homeschool community, not having done any homeschooling since 2010.

We can't always help with all the grandchildren, but we do what we can when we can. For the past 2 years we have started a bit of a "cousins week" with our 4 grandchildren where they spend the week with us doing various things both ordinary and weird. Art, science, pool time, etc. You will enjoy contributing what you can, when you can, I am sure. !BBH

That sounds like a fun idea! I'll have to ponder it.
