RE: 🏆 Guess the Silver, Earn Some PIMP ! Round 13🏆

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

#HiveEngine is the most stable (and popular) and the first Hive second-layer network. 🤔

#Honeycomb has three tokens right now, which are SPK (not affiliated with #3Speak), DLUX, and DUAT (whose project appears to be abandoned). 🤓

Indeed, it sure is, and it's still my favorite so far! Ah, yes, I've played with DLUX and SPK before, so I already have some experience with Honeycomb. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I wonder when you stopped "playing" with the #Honeycomb tokens DLUX and SPK (and probably DUAT). 🤔🤯😅

I don't think I ever had any DLUX, but I did have some DUAT and SPK. The SPK is staked and delegated to various accounts. I don't remember what I did with the DUAT...lol!

You said on your previous comment that you "played with" DLUX (and SPK), though you said just now that you don't think you ever had DLUX tokens. 🤔🤯

Sorry, in that reply I wasn't referring to a specific token, but more the system. I only worked with it for a short time, so I don't remember it well, other than there were those three tokens. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

That would be a whole job in itself! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

So that means you "played" with the #Honeycomb second-layer network on Hive in general. 🤔🤓 There are still only three tokens on that network, which are SPK, DLUX, and DUAT. 😏

Yes, I have. It seems a lot more limited, which makes me curious why it's not utilized by the community more. See, still only 3 tokens, why not many more by this point? 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Maybe it's because only #HiveEngine right now is the only second-layer network on Hive that gets the (financial and technical) support of roughly 99% of people on Hive. 🤔🤯😅

I see that both the SPK and VSC networks test decentralized file hosting, where hosting providers get paid and hosting users pay in the respective token, though I still need to find the recent relevant links. 🤯🤓

Anyway, I noticed that you got an official answer on your comment there. 🤔😏

Yes, I've heard about it for the SPK network, but I hadn't heard about VSC doing file hosting too, but I think that it's very cool. I haven't seen any recent posts about that either.

In a dev team, there usually is a communicator (also knowledgeable in programming) assigned to keep track of changes and ideas, to share them with other team members as well as the stakeholders of the project. 🤓😏

As soon as borniet comes back, you would be a very productive team again, with he as the programmer and you as the communicator! 😎

There should also be someone who takes the role as the artist (designing logos, banners, and such), and a documenter (which takes note of every important detail on the project). 🤓

Yes, I think so too, and I'm looking forward to getting things back on track and moving forward again. Those have been our roles up until this point, and it's worked pretty well so far.

I wonder how much you would agree that four (4) is the magic number when it comes to a (software) project team. 🤔 Those four would typically (but not necessarily) be comprised of programmer, designer/artist, documenter/communicator, and tester. 🤓😏

!DIY

Well, 4 does seem like a good number, not too big or small, and if each filled an important role, then perhaps it would even be ideal, though I will say that redundancy is a very good thing too, in case one of the four is not able to perform their duties. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

They say that if the "magic number" of team members (which is 4) get reduced, then each member is (much) more likely to get overloaded with tasks, while if the number is increased, then communication and portioning of tasks between the members become more complicated. 🤔🤯🤓

Of course, each team member should also understand what each other member is doing in the team. 🤓😏

!DIY

Oh the conundrum of creating a project management team! While it would hold true for a team of any number, having one place where team members check and communicate every day is even more important for teams beyond 5 members.

Understanding what the other members do is different from being able to do what the other members do, and there should be an equal portion of both I'd say. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I think there's an obvious handicap when team members communicate using different platforms. 🤔🤯🤯

Being able to do what another team member is doing is !INDEED good, but should also be a backup, especially since every team member has his or her own tasks in the team for the project. 🤓😏

It's already practically possible to trade the Hive blockchain's PEPE frog's PEPE token with their corresponding PEPE tokens on other blockchains, though it requires a lot of intermediaries, fees, and waiting time. 🤯 That's why I edited my previous comment to improve it by adding "directly", "freely", and "little to no fees and waiting time". 😎🐸

Something weird happened with the DLUX Hive account (as seen on its #PeakD wallet). 🤔🤯 I apparently "partially fulfilled" a "sale" of 348 HIVE worth of DLUX tokens (1,000 DLUX tokens at 0.348 HIVE per DLUX). 🤑😅

My investigation has led me to see that someone decided to buy a total of 1,000 DLUX for 348 HIVE exactly 720 hours before I received the HIVE tokens, and when nobody can technically fulfill the order due to the DLUX network's "collateral limits", the DLUX Hive account sent me the HIVE tokens. 🕵️‍♂️😎 I hope that the buy transaction was intentional, and the buyer got the right amount of DLUX tokens that they wanted and paid only with the amount of HIVE that they wanted to spend for it. 🧘‍♂️🤗

I would like the Hive devs @borniet and @kenny-crane to see this comment and give feedback. 🤗😅 If I don't get a response from either the DLUX team or the buyer until after 24 hours from the time I received the HIVE tokens, I would assume that the transaction went as intended and I would use the HIVE for testing purposes both on and off Hive. 🧘‍♂️🤓

Hrmmm...that's very curious for sure. I've not had any experience with their collateral system, so I had to read this twice just to understand exactly what you're trying to express. If you had tokens up for sale, and someone bought them, I'd assume that it was intentional.

I hope that one or both of them appears, as I'd be curious as to what they'd say as well. I think after 24 hours it's safe to assume that it went as it was intended. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I think that someone buying 1,000 DLUX tokens for 0.348 HIVE each was high enough, and given that it took exactly 720 hours for the order to get "fulfilled" (where it really expired), I can think of the possibility that the buyer wanted to cancel the buy offer but was unable to do so !INDEED. 🤔🤯 I still have more than 16,000 DLUX tokens available on the #dlux platform, but I don't know where to use them at present other than trying to sell them somewhat close to their price when that token was launched (used to be at about 1 HIVE per DLUX) or buying cheap DLUX NFTs. 💸🤯🤓

OK, I see. That's one of the reasons why I didn't really get into DLUX, because there is not particular use for it other than selling it. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

The founder of the #Honeycomb which powers the DLUX and SPK networks currently has an existing proposal that is about to end, as well as an upcoming proposal asking for 10,000 HBD per day as "backpayment". 🤔🧘‍♂️ @savvyplayer (who is my voting proxy) has already voted for both, thinking that the project has a lot of potential !INDEED. 🤓😏

Your comment there made me support one more Hive proposal. 😅 The proposals that are close to the return proposal are still !FUN to monitor !INDEED. 😆

I support nearly all of the Hive proposals, though my favorite proposals are #Ecency, #HiveBuzz, and #HiveSQL. 😏

It has been a few weeks since the DLUX network (particularly the NFT page and the DEX page) became inaccessible. 🤔🤯 That means all the DLUX tokens and NFTs are currently unavailable for gifting or selling. 🤯💸 It's !WEIRD though that the DUAT DEX is still accessible. 🤯😅

That's unfortunate, though not surprising. Community-driven frameworks have quite a few challenges to be sure. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I still !HOPE that @borniet is able to reply to (or at least read) my previous comment which is almost 7 days old. 🤗🤯 His Hive dev experience (especially running a Hive Witness node and a #HiveEngine Witness node) would help give a good feedback for sure! 🤓😎😏

I remember doing some trading on DLUX in its early days but haven't had any new experience with it in years. I wish I could be more helpful but I got nothing! :D

Thanks for sharing your feedback about my DLUX trading experience on my previous comment! 🤗😀 I simply assumed that because they buyer posted a buy offer of 1,000 DLUX for 0.328 HIVE per DLUX, then they really had the intention to buy such amount of DLUX for such HIVE price !INDEED. 🤔🧘‍♂️🤓 !WEIRD !HOPE !HUG
