Quise tomarme un café
con Édith Piaf en el piano.

escribía Rien de rien.
Il ne se passe jamais rien,
una pareja discute en lo alto del edificio,
abren las puertas del balcón
como para que todos escuchen los golpes.
Rien de rien toma cuerpo,
y el cuerpo de la chica
estremece los adoquines.
Lleva su espalda desnuda,
una flor,
y un piano
entre sus piernas.

I wanted to have a coffee
with Édith Piaf at the piano.

a couple is arguing high up in the building;
they throw open the balcony doors
as if to let everyone hear the blows.
Rien de rien takes shape,
and the girl’s body
makes the cobblestones shudder.
She bears her bare back,
a flower,
and a piano
between her legs.
