Finance is one of the things that won't be taught well in school. You'd have to learn it outside the curriculum and if you're lucky, you learn it early.

Budgeting, saving, emergency funds and how to manage money are all important, money shouldn't be mismanaged. You're rihht, the lessons learnt in school never did justice to thoughts and perspectives of life. We all had to learn it outside school.
