HiveFest XI (11. edition) is happening in exactly 10 days! I can't believe it's closer than ever, and I probably won't go... ๐ If you were following my blog, you probably know the reasons, but there are a few more on top of that... Anyway, the whole format of this year's HiveFest will be different, but every gathering of Hivians is a special and well-worthy event!

Let's lay down the important things... Preparing this year's HiveFest was/is probably one of the most challenging events so far... Without DHF funding, close the bottom HIVE price when crypto is in a bear market... Not an easy job to organize and run any event! Kudos to @roelandp for organizing the 11th edition of HiveFest, keeping this yearly tradition alive!
The HiveFest official dates are from 17-20 September 2026 in Barcelona, Spain! Yes, you read it right: this will be the 2nd big Hivian gathering on Spanish soil this year, after a successful HiveOpenDays event in Alicante this May... If you want to hear more about the event, I think @roelandp will be guesting on the HiveThrive show in the official Hive Discord tomorrow (Tuesday)... It's at 8 PM CEST, but check out for your local time in the Events tab on Discord!
Time for my excuses... After the Hive meetup in Alicante, I was fired up for ANY other meetup that will happen in the rest of the year... I had plans to do the 3rd Hive meetup in Serbia this summer, to attend the HiveFest in autumn, and also to check out at least one more meetup (England, Germany, or the Netherlands were at the top of the list)... Unfortunately (or luckily... if I look through different lenses), I had surgery scheduled for mid-summer, and the "recovery period" kind of ruined all other plans... I know, I know... Health is in first place, but it sucks...
Today, I was checking with my "AI-consulting-doctor" to hear its thoughts about travelling by plane (Barcelona is in Spain, but not that close to me... around 500 km away), and I wasn't thrilled by the answer... Possible issues: Air pressure in the plane, possible swelling... Lifting heavy bags around the airports wouldn't bring anything good... Sitting in the plane can complicate things... etc...
As I mentioned in my previous post(s), I was a bit naive when I thought that my recovery would be a peanut, "one week and I'm patched and good to go!"... The full recovery usually lasts from 3 to 6 months, in the best case... I do feel much, much better than a few weeks ago, but my body still sends occasional reminders of "work in progress" healing... I know that the risks aren't that high of "breaking things down", but I don't want to take any risks with my health... Not really fond of the idea of going back under the knife to "fix the damage"...
But if YOU CAN go, I would strongly suggest you do so! As we are in bad market conditions, there are fewer active Hivians, and probably there will be fewer people at this year's HiveFest, but... Those who will be there are those you need! Those people are hardcore Hivians who were here when it was most needed, and who are here when it's good or bad!
Just a short notice about another meetup that will happen in London, UK, on Saturday, 17 October 2026... You can check out this post by @shanibeer for more details! That one is probably off the table for me too, as all other "travelling plans" for 2026...
I will have to make it up for all these misses next year!!! Hopefully, we will get into the bull market in the meantime, as some additional profits taken during the bull could help with travelling costs... ๐
Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...
This week, we have mined 161 BEE tokens in total, 44 tokens more than a week ago! Those 161 make it a NEW RECORD! The most we mined in a week was 158, in July this year!
This week we didn't get new delegators! As usual, we got additional delegations from old members! Thanks for your continuous support, guys and girls! I really appreciate it!
This pool doesn't charge fees, and you can earn up to 20% more by delegating to it!
What about the bonus tokens?
After creating a double bottom at the end of June and mid-July, the SPS token began a slow climb upward... We are still a long way from 1 cent, but it's nice to see progress... From 0.27 cents to 0.37 cents doesn't look like a lot, but it's a positive direction! If eyes come back on crypto, I have doubts that blockchain gaming will have better days... And honestly, there aren't too many OG crypto games that are still around, so Splinterlands could work out nicely in the next bull...
There will be 240 SPS tokens distributed to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
240 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 15.350%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 18.480%! With a higher amount of mined BEE tokens and a lower WORKERBEE price, this week's APR looks fantastic!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price... Currently, the BUY side of the WORKERBEE tokens is very thin, and it's hard to calculate the middle price.

Time is flying fast when you are having fun... HiveFest is around the corner. Probably I will not be there with all the commute I will need to do and the damage from it. But I will cheer from the sidelines and I can't wait to see new projects showing off.
