Community Leaders Are Essential! .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 231

avatar

I remember the time when Hive "tribes" (Hive-Engine tribes/communities with attached tokens, like Leofinance, Ctptalk, Archon) became a thing, and the following moment when we got Hive communities in a form that we have them now... In those times, there was an initiative to gather around community leaders and try to synchronize their efforts, to lead others to better (Hive) integration... That idea was great, but it didn't stick... Why?

This morning, while I was searching for good posts for the @Ourpick curation, I stumbled upon one great article by @riverflows where she wrote why she loves Hive Garden community...

Anyone can create a tribe token, even if it doesn't know how to do it... There is always someone on Hive-Engine who can help you out... The same goes for the Hive communities... Anyone can create one, but not every community will be successful! When you read the post like the one that I just shared, you will get the point and notice the difference...

Let's take Hive Garden Community as an example... Yes, we tend to have decentralized communities, but having a dedicated (team) leader is a huge benefit... A leader who is grateful for the journey with other fellow community subscribers, who shares that with others, and appreciates every single member, every single post written in the community...

Just as on the small graphic on the thumbnail above, a true leader is wearing a flag, taking responsibility for others, but also taking other members by hand, showing them the right path... and most importantly, showing by example! Not just talking a talk, but walking the walk... Creating quality posts in the community, paving the road for others... Engaging with subscribers, giving tips, accepting feedback, improving the community, but also growing with others!

Communities on HIVE are crucial for our platform... They are the first room where newbies have been landed, the users' first impression is built on them... That's why we need healthy communities, run by true leaders, who are not criticizing, and pointing out what's wrong, and what's bad... We need leaders who are showing by example, and who are one of us, approachable, and always there for their community!

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...

This week, we have mined 90 BEE tokens in total, a bit less than last week...

This week we didn't have new delegators, we lost one, but we got new delegations from old members! Thanks guys! Appreciate your support!

This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

We are back on distributing some LEN tokens as a bonus reward today... It's not a secret that it's my favorite token, as it is the main token of the @liotes project that I run along with @achim03! As we are dedicated to the project's success, we are showing by example by accumulating those tokens in a way that anyone else can accumulate... But also, we are working on Liotes daily, trying to bring as much value as possible to it, and we think that it does show on the LEN token price... Its value is pretty stable for a long time, and those who are HODLing them can earn some additional income through staking or adding liquidity!

There will be distributed 55 LEN tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... 90 BEE tokens and 55 LEN tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 6.763%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 8.211%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!

You can find more about this pool in the initial post here https://ecency.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other

...and you are doing a great job in the communities that you run/take care of! Keeping people interested, giving new topics, curating their posts, etc.!

I would like to use this space to thank you for all that you do for HIVE and other Hivians! 🙏 🍻

I can't add much beside say I totally agree with you, communities are a great feature, but without a good guide who keeps things sorted, curates and keep it alive, it's kinda useless to have them

Exactly! It's a tool... and when the tool is used in the hands of a dedicated and motivated person, it can do miracles! 💪

Thanks for the news.
The issue of communities is an interesting one, and I am sure there is much to debate. But, as you said, it all depends on the leader or the team that drives the community. I post in various communities, some of which I moderate, and the approaches to community management differ significantly.

I'm sure it's different in various communities, which isn't a bad thing at all... What differs is the way people lead, but if the community is healthy and engaging, that's the most important... 🍷

Speaking of which, my opinion is that communities should be automatically funded, and I think this can be built into the Hive core. That would make it more stable. What do I know, 2-5% of every post, 1-5% of every rewarded comment. Well, that's just my opinion. I've debated this before, but some people weren't in favour of it.

That's an interesting idea and tbh, I didn't think about it... I suppose those who were against it had in mind possible ways in which community creators can abuse it?

Well, it costs something to create a community, I guess. Even for community awards, the funding has to come from somewhere. I think that would allow for more communities. Yes, I'm sure there would be some with bad intentions, but I don't remember any of the previous ones, do you?

I also post two posts like this a week, but I go to visit the nursery there, so this community will probably be good for them, so I will definitely start posting in it too.

I miss the days when communities were way more active. I think it just ended up dying down as the inflation on tokens increased and the values didn't hold up.

Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/LEN tokens.

I suppose you are talking about tribes and their communities... I miss those days too, but it looks like those leaders weren't ready for the task... On the other side, I like these positive examples that we have with Hive communities, especially those that are led by a couple of people! Those do have a future!

A community would be successful when the admin would pursue to guide the members.

Indeed! And luckily, we have many communities that are led by great Hivians and leaders!

You may not realize how important a leader is while they are there, but when they leave, there is a huge void. People who do not truly have leadership qualities can try as hard as they want to fill that void, but they will not succeed.

Communities with dedicated leaders are very fortunate.

You are right about that! Unfortunately, when that happens, it's too late to do anything... That's why it's important to have a 2-way communication between leaders and subscribers/followers...

I think communities are the main stickiness factor that contributes to why new users stay on the ecosystem. I remember when I joined and thekittygirl and melindada1010 were super welcoming to me on Discord, giving me tips and guidance on finding my way around here.

Communities are crucial... the first step on the Hive journey... Those who get into a highly engaging community at the start, usually stick and stay on HIVE to get more of good vibes!

Come for the money, stay for the community, make friends across the world and learn interesting discoveries about the world through them. It's an exciting journey :)
