It looks like I'm becoming a regular reader of your Midnight letters... 😃 They are similar to my late-night blogging series, which I could rewamp sometimes... for my own sanity... 😃
Speaking of the quote, I had a similar thought many times, especially when I moved to another country... Not knowing the language (except basics), sometimes can sound like you are dumb(er) or stupid, which is far away the case... I had to remind myself many times that those are word expressions and have nothing to do with intention, knowledge, or intelligence...
And the other thing that goes along with that... Feeling of acceptance, or seeking approval from others, just like you mentioned... That's why you still have those words in your mind after so many years... as you didn't get that checkmark approval from that person...
But, we humans are like that... I always remind myself about the time when I was the shop owner and at the end of the day, I was pissed off as I had one client who ruined my day... Forgetting that the other 99 were satisfied and happy customers...

The beauty of the Gradac river by @duskobgd

Beautiful crystal clear water flows through this river surrounded by wonderful nature, making you want to drink from it and spend some quality time there. Although the temperature wasn't right, because the water must have been very cold, swimming there must be great. It's very good that many activities are not allowed there, in order to preserve the natural environment and also for fishing, and it seems to be an ideal place for hiking and long walks.
I found the ethnic house charming, even though some things didn't work, but I was impressed by that narrow bridge. Beautiful place, it's a privilege that you visited it.

I had no idea that something like a Drum show even exists, and that it lasts 2 days when you have it all... The exhibition, the live show, networking, and even some "masterclasses" included...
Btw, that video that you shared is incredible! How can that guy play drums for 40+ minutes, that intensively?! It's like playing an instrument, while juggling, and doing a gym in the same time... lol...

It's lovely to see how you celebrated Hispanic Heritage Day on the other side of the ocean. This holiday is always very controversial, as it represented a significant cultural clash, and we know that history ends up being told only from the perspective of the victors. I prefer that we focus on what unites us. From the dancers' costumes, I can guess some of the autonomous communities, although I don't see mine, which is Aragon. I love seeing your happy faces! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on the joy your theatre community has brought you. You have been very brave in creating it while still so new to Hive, and I am sure it will grow over time.

The time you have spent at Hive has been dedicated to achieving something that represents the culmination of your chosen vocation, and it is clear that you have studied hard and put your heart into it. I can imagine how happy your family must be, and as you mention your mother, that you have taken this step. It doesn't matter that it took you a while to join the bar and be sworn in as a solicitor after finishing your studies, but rather that you have taken that step and are starting this new phase in your life. I can say that even though I don't know you well enough and even from a distance, you have what it takes for what you have chosen in life.
Many years ago, I also studied law, but after a long time, unfortunately quite a long time, I realised that it wasn't for me and I changed course. The important thing is to make decisions that make us happy, and you have done that.

Thank you for organizing another successful HiveFest! Unfortunatelly, I didn't make it to this one, but I will do my best to attend the next one!
