I'm lucky that both of my parents are still alive! Are they perfect? Far away from it, but they did raise my sister and me fairly well... I suppose... lol... 😃
I suppose your mother is generational somewhere around my grandparents, who lived, as you said, in completely different times... Unfortunately, some had a very hard life during the war(s), which made their skin thicker, but also created some wounds that never healed... Perhaps it's just an excuse for their behavior, but I can't hold a grudge against anything they did or said as I didn't live their lives...

Thanks for this fantastic review! Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors, too, but on the other side, Zooey Deschanel isn't on that list at all... 😃 Regarding the movie, I liked the idea and the plot, probably because I have identified myself as Carl, the guy who mostly says NO to new things... 🙂 I suppose that's the "secret sauce" of the movie as many people are like that, staying in the comfort zone without too much hassle with new challenges, experiences, but also commitment and responsibility...

I have no idea about planting coffee, but it's always interesting to learn something new... How much coffee can you get per plant at the moment of harvest?

When I was reading you I was thinking about the times when I studied, how little importance was given to financial education, but on the other hand I think how important it is and that if that kind of education had been given in schools a long time ago people would have had more or different options. This type of education is fundamental nowadays and not, as before, where students chose only the most profitable careers and then, probably because of oversupply, there was little demand for that work.
I think everyone should have that kind of education to cope better in life with economic ups and downs, crises and so on.

You have taken some spectacular photographs as you always do, that ant is impressive, I don't think I have ever seen that species that has a thorn on its back, it is definitely used to defend itself. You have captured the shape and behaviour as well as the photos. I know that some ants go alone looking for the right thing and then alert the colony to go all together in search of the big loot of food, but I don't think she needs more company.
As for your reflection, I think that humanity is made to be in society, although some people move away from it for various reasons, solitude helps to think, reflect and evolve internally, something that cannot be achieved in the hustle and bustle. Fabulous photographs.
