There are no limits; you simply deposit the amount of money you want or have available and leave it there for 1, 7, 14, 31, 45 days, etc. It's similar to a bank fixed-term deposit. In a fixed-term deposit, you lend your money to the bank (backed by the central bank). In a repurchase agreement, you lend to another investor (the borrower), who provides shares or bonds as collateral, which can be automatically seized by the market if the borrower defaults.
