Me quedé allí.

Otras caminaban deprisa intentando llegar a casa.

No puedo enseñárselos a nadie.

Pero los recuerdo.

Recuerdo colores.

Recuerdo lugares.

Recuerdo cómo me sentía.

Hello dear Holos & Lotus community.

There are moments that seem to ask for a photograph.

A particularly beautiful sunset. Rain gently tapping against the window. A cloud with an unusual shape. Afternoon light entering through the balcony and painting the walls a different color.

We live in a time when, almost by reflex, we reach for our phones whenever something like this happens.

We want to keep it.

We want to photograph it.

Sometimes we also want to share it.

For a long time, I did the same. If I saw a beautiful sky, I reached for my phone. If rain began falling in a special way, I thought I should record it. As if observing something were not enough unless it was also stored somewhere.

But recently, something different happened to me.

I was at home when it started to rain.

It was not a heavy storm. It was one of those quiet rains that arrive gradually and change the atmosphere of the street. The sound of the drops began mixing with the familiar noises of the neighborhood and, almost without thinking, I walked over to the window.

I stayed there.

For a few minutes, I did nothing.

I simply looked.

I watched the street become brighter because of the water. Some people looked for shelter. Others walked quickly, trying to get home. The leaves on the trees moved with the wind, and the sky seemed to have lowered slightly over the buildings.

At some point, I thought about reaching for my phone.

I could have recorded a video.

I could have taken a photograph.

I could have sent the image to someone.

But this time, I decided not to.

And I discovered something interesting.

When I was no longer thinking about capturing the scene, I started to truly see it.

I listened to the rain more carefully.

I noticed the smell of the damp air.

I felt the cool breeze coming through the window.

I paid attention to small details I probably would have missed while trying to take a good photograph.

That rain did not need to become a file.

It could simply exist.

And I could be there to watch it.

Perhaps we have confused preserving a moment with recording it.

A photograph can be wonderful. A video can help us remember a voice, a landscape, or a celebration. I have nothing against them.

What I wonder is whether we really need to save every moment.

Do we need to photograph every beautiful meal?

Every sunset?

Every walk?

Every cup of coffee?

Sometimes I think that while trying to preserve everything, we end up paying less attention to what is actually happening in front of us.

The camera looks for the perfect frame.

We should be looking for the moment itself.

I also remember the sunsets I watched before I had a phone capable of recording them. I have no photographs of many of them. I cannot show them to anyone.

But I remember them.

I remember colors.

I remember places.

I remember how I felt.

And perhaps that is enough.

Being analog by choice also means accepting that some moments can disappear from a screen without disappearing from our memory.

Not everything we experience needs to become content.

Some experiences can remain only within us.

A conversation.

A smell.

A song.

Rain behind a window.

The sky changing colors.

A quiet afternoon on the balcony.

These are small things that do not need witnesses to have value.

Sometimes it is enough simply to have been there.

So, when I find myself facing a beautiful sunset or an unexpected rainstorm again, perhaps I will take a photograph sometimes.

But other times, I will put my phone away.

I will look.

I will breathe.

And I will let the moment pass without trying to hold it still.

Because I have learned that not every memory needs a cloud where it can be stored.

Some memories only need a quiet place inside us.
