A Place or a Home

I recognized the photograph, but I'd never been to that place. It's strange, like déjà vu, a very specific feeling I can't quite grasp. It was an apartment, but I'd never been there, yet I think I can guess what it looks like. On the back of the photograph was a word in capital letters: "Remember"

Many years ago, I awoke from a long sleep with amnesia and somehow ended up in a faraway country. Years passed, and I could never remember who I used to be. I couldn't say if I'm a very different person now or if, by some chance, I'm still the same person.

Now that I see this photograph, I finally see a clue to my past. And I think I must return home, wherever this place may be. I don't know if delving into my life will bring me anything good, but I feel I must go to that place to find peace of mind.
