I understand your point and respect it too. But, if I say I agree with you then that would be wrong. I find the ending somewhat satisfying. One reason why I am saying so is because they were developing the reasons and logic for this ending for the last two previous seasons. One thing that were they developing was that evil deed must be punished and that's why not only Homelander was killed, Butcher was killed too following the same ideology - that's my take, though.
