On My Way To Becoming A Lion

I recently powered up 1,200 LEO tokens on InLeo which is a significant step forward in my journey on Hive, the fast, feeless and creator friendly Web 3.0 blockchain. This move brings me one step closer to my ultimate goal: achieving Lion status with 15,000 LEO staked.

For those unfamiliar, LEO is the native token of InLeo, a Web 3.0 powered platform built on Hive that rewards content creators, curators and community builders. What Is InLeo?

InLeo (formerly known as LeoFinance) is one of the flagship frontends of the Hive blockchain and focuses on financial and crypto content, although in recent years has expanded to include many other topics and communities also. It’s a blogging platform, social network and crypto news aggregator all in one. But what sets InLeo apart is its integration of tokenized rewards. Every post, comment and vote has value attached to it.

The InLeo platform recently underwent a major rebrand, adding tools like Leoshorts (Web 3 short form content), seamless wallet integrations and an upgraded UI that rivals Web 2 platforms. My Goal To Become A Leo Lion

When I first discovered Hive and InLeo, I was blown away. The concept of being rewarded for sharing my thoughts, engaging with others and building digital communities seemed like a dream. Over time, I began creating posts regularly, commenting on others' content and slowly building up my LEO stake.

It hasn't always been smooth sailing as token value does fluctuate and I have had to withdraw funds at times but I have also bought back in and continue to build my position within the community and across Hive itself.

This week’s 1,200 LEO power up was more than just me powering up as it was a statement of intent. I’m committed to becoming a Lion, a tier reached when a user stakes 15,000 LEO tokens. With each power up, I get closer to that goal which I am almost there!.

I was recently honored to receive the LPUD (LEO Power Up Day) award, winning a 5,000 LEO delegation. This is a temporary but powerful delegation that increases my influence on the platform. It means my votes carry more weight, my curation rewards are higher and I can support more creators in the community while reaching my goal faster!.

In the Web2 world we create content that generates traffic for corporations. We write, shoot, post and go viral, only for platforms like YouTube, Instagram or Medium to take the lion’s share of the revenue, if they share it at all (I have been fortunate to become a content creator on Facebook and Earn money there also).

Here, your content earns you money. Not from ads. Not from paywalls. But directly from the blockchain, via upvotes powered by real users with skin in the game. The absence of transaction fees means micro rewards are viable and sustainable. The fact that Hive is fully decentralized means no one can silence you or take away your following on a whim.

What's Next For Me?

With the 1,200 LEO power up and the 5,000 LEO delegation, I’m more motivated than ever to contribute to the InLeo community. Every post I write helps me connect with others, every upvote I give helps reward valuable content and every LEO staked is a brick in the foundation of a decentralized future.

The Lion status may still be a few steps away, but I know I’ll get there. And when I do, it’ll be a reflection of consistent effort, community engagement and belief in the power of Web 3.0
