Lunes de velocidades en el estadio.

It's the start of the week and after Sunday's rest, today my husband and I got active with speed training, which is the hardest type of training for me but is now becoming a vital part of my workouts. I work on my mind to understand that if I don't do it, I won't make progress. Thankfully, the rain stopped today, and we were able to return to the stadium, the ideal place for this type of training, as well as being perfect for pampering our feet with the grass.
There were several baseball and football clubs practising at the stadium. I started my training with a 15-minute warm-up at a comfortable pace. For today, I had planned 800-metre sprints. Since the day of the race eight days ago, we hadn't done this type of training, so we warmed up with long sprints. The premise for this training was to run at race pace with a 2-minute rest between intervals. The plan was to do 6 sets of 800 metres, but my legs felt a little heavy, so I only did 4 sets of 800 metres. After the sets, I jogged 1.22 kilometres to relax my legs a little. I confess, my friend, that I no longer feel the torture of speed training so much. Little by little, we are coming to understand that it is part of the training, and that the more I master it, the easier speed training becomes for me.
After finishing training, I stretched a little, hydrated myself, and felt great about today's work. Back at the stadium with the sprints, I hope the weather stays good so we can continue training at the stadium. At this time, training is without any pressure, just completing all types of training, since we don't have any races in sight to participate in, but we are staying active to continue making progress, and in case any racing opportunities arise.
Y aqui sigo disfrutando de lo que tanto me gusta, para mantenerme activa fisica y mentalmente.
And here I am, still enjoying what I love so much, to keep myself physically and mentally active.
Hasta la próxima amigos.
See you next time friends.
